Hi, I know it’s been 6 years and this video is probably considered ancient by this point, but I just recently got into Homestuck and I cannot stop watching this video. The animation is so smooth and consistent, and the characters are portrayed so well that you can tell which character is which only by their silhouette! Every character’s movements are just breathtakingly awesome, I would pick a favorite but then i would pick every single one. And the transitions, just... wow. Even though I’ve watched it a hundred times, I am still blown away by how damn good this is. It’s obvious that so much time and effort went into this animation and I will continue to hit the replay button a zillion more times!

this is like the bad apple for the homestuck characters, showing each one in the most awesome way possible and how they are connected, Vriska and Terezi being next to each other is such a vibe Nepeta and Equius should have been next to each other though, same for Kanaya and Karkat

Gods the amount of nostalgia in this one video is enough to bring me to tears every time. I dont care how old this video gets, I will always cherish it my heart. Thank you so much for this as it was actually the video that sent me on this amazing journey, that made me new friends, and brought on all kinds of experiences for me. Ok but somethin im noticing after playing it TWENTY TIMEs is that after Fef's EPIC trident flips, Eridan attempts to copy her to look cool, but then gives up and shoots the gun instead. Which could... Actually be symbolism, considering he wants to match Fef's level of royalty (i think?) and be the perfect person for her but instead he gives up and resorts to violence. Edit: Also now noticed how Vriska's dice turned into cage bars... Which might be symbolism for being caged and not feeling like she fits in. (EDIT 3, edit of the edit) realized that Vriska BREAKS those bars by finally leading the group and being welcomed in towards the end of the comic. Edit 2: Tavros's little bit isn't that impressive (him runnin) but while the animation is STILL RAD it's symbolism for how he's overshadowed by everyone else being cool. Like, Aradia and Karkat are below him but Aradia has cool dead ghost-y powers and Karkat is a cool leader! So both animations overshadow his. Edit 4: I think Gamzee's has symbolism for Calliope and Caliborn since he raised them? Not sure if the random color swap of the pins was intentional or I'm reading too much into this but maybe it's how it's red on the right side and green on the left (cherub colors!) and he hits his head, and the colors switch, meaning they switch fronts? Edit 5: Ok I might be getting too much into analyzing this. Equius broke his bow and then threw it to the side and punches, breaking the screen. Maybe it's how he tries his best but resorts to what he knows in the end and he ends up always breaking/ruining it? Edit 6: I'm pretty sure EVERYONE noticed but when Kanaya applies lipstick you can see the purple blood dripping down her mouth and it shows some rivalry to Gamzee OK that is all I can find PLEASE tell me if there's more because I am too into this.

I would genuenly love to see someone who has never read Homestuck try and guess what these characters are about simply from this video lol
