I’m suprised that tyler doesn’t know what a tesla coil is.

most countries wouldn't let you cross wires, but here in the ALBATROSS EMPIRE we have discovered the third dimension of space, and so you can place a wire slightly above another.

People talking about how Tyler doesn't know what a tesla coil is and I'm just impressed that he doesn't know what a WASHING MACHINE is.

The thing I like the most is how it introduces mechanics that aren't logic for the logic to depend on. So many logic games don't add room for creativity and just want you to balance AND, OR, NOT, etc. It's like, "How is this different every other game?" Blocked areas, "lids" on connections or buttons, Batteries that need to be charged, information like Text, LEDs, Charge Displays, etc. Good game design which keeps the puzzle solving active.

games that use logic gates as their main focus are some of my favourite, that's why I loved Turing Complete, I was going to take a class for it but my counselor made me drop the class, I'll take it eventually.

It's interesting that they chose to not implement self-feeding loops, because those are used in certain memory cells & latches. The fact that real life logic runs on electric current helps.

This game reminds me of Electric Box, an old Flash puzzle game that also revolved around electricity. The design was much more focused on what Tyler did in the very end where he was placing elements, and it had more of a Rube Goldberg feel with its puzzles rather than just using solely logic.
  • Finally the 1984 puzzle game. The rule of rougelikes appears to apply to puzzle games too.

Game: "He stole the prototype." Tyler: "That's what someone who drinks baby blood would say..."

Detective G.U.I. is a cool puzzle platformer with some pretty unique mechanics. I think you might enjoy it (except maybe that one accounting puzzle).
