Just wanted to say I've read all the comments and I am so truly thankful for the overall response to this video. This was a video I stressed about making for far too long and it really is a huge weight off my shoulders. Feel like there's more I want to say, but I'm hopeful that thank you is enough

God I relate to the whole "where's Mikey" situation, every single time I do a collab. It's so obnoxious how people assume I'm the one not inviting people when I try my best to be as inclusive as possible. When you work for weeks on a thing and people only care about who ISN'T included, and blame you, for some reason, it's disheartening. (especially when it's someone you did reach out to) People politely request the presence of other Poketubers, but MandJTV fans rudely demand Mikey's presence.

Props to Mikey and Jack. No drama, no diss tracks, no boxing matches, just a handshake and a goodbye. Both of them are amazing people to be able to do that for the mutuals involved. I hope everyone, including you John, is okay and dealing with the situation well. Much love, brother.
  • I went into this video worried that I might lose respect for one or both but I am pleasantly surprised that after listening to this, I have gained respect for both of them. Thank you for posting this, we love you!
  • @ShinyCatherine
I’m glad you got this off your chest. Cheers for being real and respectful towards everyone involved!
  • @HoodlumCallum
This is such a tough situation but everyone involved handled it beautifully. I hope this helps calm the comments regarding jack/mikey. some people just can’t be friends, and that’s ok!!
  • @limiteds4
This broke my heart. Just to let you know, we watch you for you and your amazing content. Not Mikey’s love for Drowzee or Jack’s ungodly shiny luck, but your creative and enjoyable content that brings us all so much joy. Don’t feel that we only want more Mikey or more Jack, we just want you to make the content you want to make because no matter what you do, you make it so much fun. Just let your content be how you want it to be and don’t worry about the restrictions of having two friends that aren’t friends. Being stuck in the middle is awful, but that just means that you must be a great friend to both of them, and we all think you’re a great person too.
  • @wowjennawow
as much as i love your videos with mikey, we are here for YOU. i’m not the kind of person who watches every video just because i like the creator, but i can’t remember the last time i missed one of yours. i’m having a hard time putting into words just how much good your presence on this site has done, so i’ll just say thank you. don’t light yourself on fire to keep others warm. all the love and respect for you, dude ❤

"And let's be honest, a lot of them were there just to see extra Mikey videos or extra Jack videos. They're not really there for me." made my heart shatter. It's super unfortunate to be a people pleaser watching your friends do well, knowing you aren't doing the same. It puts you in such a weird and uncomfortable place where you don't know what to do or say, it feels as though your choosing between your well being or your friends well being. I have defended this matter before to as much extent as I can, even before this upload. Jack had actually spoken out about what had happened between him and Mikey very briefly on his Instagram. When you posted the trailer for your 24 hour stream on Twitter, I replied to a few comments and let them know what had happened (to the best of the knowledge I had prior to your clarification) and tried to respectfully, and quietly, get less attention focused on the Jack and Mikey stuff. But John, I hope you read this, as I am sincerely a huge fan of all three of you. I relate to you, however, the most. Your content is just fine without the two of them, it's just fine with the both of them. You have nothing to prove to the haters who will only ask for Jack and Mikey content. Being a middle man between the three of them is an awkward situation: only magnified by the group who only use you for extra content from either person. Being there is understandably tough and I really, really appreciate this video giving us a closer look at how things kind of felt behind the camera: all while retaining respect to your friends. Even if your channel itself isn't doing too well publicly, just remember there are a bunch of people here who genuinely appreciate your content and what you do, without the need for collabs, pleasing others, or whatever other thing people demand. Just do what you do best and we'll watch it. Thank you, John. I hope this video helped get all of that stress out of your system and helps you move past it. Much love.
  • @Tomic_K2
Always sucks being the middle man, you made the right decision making this video. There’s no reason you should be suffering because of an issue that ultimately has nothing to do with you.
  • Playing mediator is one of the most exhausting things you can go through. I’m so happy you decided to respect yourself, and I’m glad things are sorted out. I love all of the videos from you, Mikey and Jack. You all are amazing content creators that feel like friends keeping me company while I do whatever else. You are a beautiful person, John. Much love to you and your family, and merry Christmas ❤️

Having two people not mesh well within a friend group is always a hard thing to figure out. You want to spend time with both of them but it feels like you have to pick and choose who to be with at any point. Something I've kinda learned is to really not try to force it. I feel like the way you guys handled it was absolutely the correct way. I've had a couple friends where I kept trying and it just made it where instead of them silently going their different ways it instead ended with hostility between them. Some people just don't mesh well, and that's okay. It's especially difficult when it's a group of 3 where you can't really isolate yourself at all. It's easier if it was something like a party with 10 people where they don't really need to interact much. I've felt overwhelmed with a lot of this sort of stuff and I don't have hundreds of commenters constantly pestering me about it. When the trio videos stopped I just kinda figured "oh I guess they just stopped making them" and kind of left it there. Figured maybe Jack was busy or you and Mikey wanted to focus on JMC. It sucks that it had to come to a point where a video needed to be made just to discuss it. Sometimes people just disagree or just don't get along and that's perfectly fine.
  • Some people just don't pick up on hints or social cues. The trio videos were amazing and special but even during those videos it is BLATANTLY obvious that Mikey and Jack don't click. There were times where Jack would do something goofy or dumb like he does that we all love him for and Mikey wouldn't even so much as smirk. Mikey is more reserved and serious and he and Jack just don't click. I'm super proud of them and glad they handled it maturely and just moved on with everything. Much respect. I hope you're doing well too John. Don't let your audience bother you there are more of us here for you and your content than you think there are. Much love big guy ❤️ keep making wonderful content.

I will never understand: 1) how anyone could blame John for the decisions of two grown ass men that very obviously wasn’t caused by him 2) stay subscribed to John for other people he works with. John is one of the most creative Poketubers on the platform. Great ideas, great execution and great overall vibe. Truly the epitome of “If John has one fan, it’s me. If John has no fans, I’ve died.” Thanks for the transparency (not that we needed it because it wasn’t our business), and thanks for all the great years of content, John!!
  • @kasybenoit
Thank you for being so candid with us, even though you didn't have to divulge any of this information to the public. Stress stemming from friendships are the absolute worst, and a friendship "breakup" of sorts is the poop icing on top of the crappiest cake imaginable. I hope that by getting your feelings out there that you can get back to a place of being happy and excited to working with whoever you want to work with, in whatever way you want to do it. Much to you love my dude! 💕
  • @GubbiGap
As someone who enjoyed the trio content a lot I'm really happy you made this video. I'm thankful I've never asked for the collabs but I will admit I missed them and while that probably isn't gonna change this video makes me happy because it explained what happened without judging them. And respect to all of you for being mature about it! I hope you feel better now as you don't deserve the bombardment of people asking you about it.
  • @Penguin-nr8sq
I’m so sorry you had to be the middle person for this. It sucks feeling like you have to choose between people to hang out with and have pressure from parasocial weirdos who don’t know anything and just try to point the finger. You’ve all been very professional about this and I’m glad yall realized that your mental health matters more than content. While I didn’t quite get the situation I figured that if they wanted to make videos together they would. It’s not on you to try to bridge the gap between two people especially in an age where people are just a dm or text away. It’s baffling you got blamed for them not hanging out. Please take care of yourself and I hope you’re able to do more cool videos without limiting yourself. ❤❤❤
  • I am not surprised they don’t like each other. Jack is so chaotic and Mikey so straight laced. You’re very laid back so you can handle them both but they’re very different. Idk why people always bug you about this, they should just enjoy what you do make. The event was super cool and fun and I hope people didn’t ruin it for you.
  • @Evie0133
I'm proud of you for coming out about this, I can't imagine how hard this would've been to film. The bit about your own subscribers not wanting to watch your solo vids broke my heart, you're absolutely amazing and lovable, keep up the amazing work!!
  • @CRISPYShu
This just makes me so sad because I grew up on y’all. I remember being 9, and watching your guys’ videos all the time. U guys were a big part of my life and it’s fun to back and watch your old videos. I appreciate you updating us on this.
