Mega comparison: my 8 FAVORITE trail mountain bikes.

Published 2024-08-02
HUGE thanks to Endura for their support! In the summer months, I use the Singletrack Short: jenson.sjv.io/EnduraSingletrackShortJKW along with the jenson.sjv.io/EnduraSingletrackJerseyJKW.

Any purchases from those links- or the following- will directly help support my channel, and it’s a big part of how I’m able to make all these videos. Thanks everyone!

The trail bikes compared in this video:

Stumpy EVO: jenson.sjv.io/StumpyEvo2024JKW
Santa Cruz Bronson: jenson.sjv.io/SantaCruzBronson2024JKW
Santa Cruz Hightower: jenson.sjv.io/SantaCruzHightower2024JKW
Ibis Ripmo: jenson.sjv.io/IbisRipmoJKW
Yeti SB140: jenson.sjv.io/YetiSB1402024JKW
Pivot Switchblade: jenson.sjv.io/PivotSwitchbladeJKW
Canyon Spectral: bit.ly/CanyonSpectralJKW
Orbea Occam: jenson.sjv.io/OrbeaOccamJKW

BIG thanks to Shimano for sponsoring my channel: jenson.sjv.io/ShimanoMTBjkw I rode ALL these bikes set up with Shimano brakes and drivetrains- even if that meant completely rebuilding the bike from the ground up. While the competitors make great stuff too, I always end up feeling most confident on a bike when using the parts to which I am most accustomed. Thanks Shimano!

Doesn’t matter how many of Jeff’s videos I’ve watched; I’m still just in awe of his bike handling skills as I was with the first of his videos I watched.
  • @matth8924
I've been on a Bronson 4.1 for going on 2 seasons now and its FUN. It jumps better than anything else I've ridden.
  • @Rich-fv5ey
Hey Jeff, thanks for another informative video. I'm one of the NorCal/Kyler group who ran into you at Dark Crystal during Crankworx. It was such a pleasure to pedal and chat with you for a bit. I'm a huge fan of your vids, riding style, and awesome perspectives on life! Please keep up the good work! Rich

This is one of my favorite videos that you've made. Really helpful. You just put a new bike on my list to consider... The Hightower. Thank you!

Jeff, this truly was a fantastic review. Your time and efforts are appreciated Sir. By the way......great riding by you as well.😎
  • @cdavid119
The lacrosse PD joke was absolute fire 😂 place is a whole gta server
  • Your conclusion hits the nail on the head. All are good, what is best is the bikes that matches the rider and terrain and is properly set up for that rider.
  • @fabiankefir2288
great video, love your riding style and your storytelling, keep it rolling
  • @Dream-season
any day that a new JKW video drops is a great day!! Great video once again…. Keep them coming!!
  • Hi Jeff, great video once again. I moved from my old HD3 to the Bronson. I followed your advice and I am really happy with it! I still need to ride the Bronson to get use to it but it is already makes me feel like a better rider!
  • @azzy9532
I agree the stumpy evo is a trail bike despite what its geometry and suspension numbers say. I ended up picking up a Megatower v2 this year during a Jensons sale and it’s astonishing to me how different the bikes feel, especially at the bike park. My Megatower is currently my favorite bike but the stumpy still comes out for more trail oriented rides.
  • Just picked up the Hightower Jenson Exclusive on sale and feel like I hit the jackpot. Really nice build for the $.
  • @notsoenduro
I’ve owned so many of the bikes in this video - and I’ve never ridden any of them like this!!! Your knowledge about their characteristics is sooo spot on 🤌🏼
  • @jlcousineau
I like blending genres. My Norco optic has been turned into a downhill sled.
  • @MikeesTexas
Im already ready for the "light trail" video!!!!❤❤❤
  • @roddas26
That nose manual rock roll in on the Ibis was so smooth 🎯

World class review with creative lines to watch throughout! I always like to hear how my bike compares to others just for entertainment. Nice work, keep them coming!
