Midnight Cowboy - Harry Nilsson - Everybody's Talkin'

I hope this movie never gets a remake it's just too brilliant & too originally powerfully strong of it's time for a remake!

I was a young boy when this came out, my life was good at that time, better than my best friends who's older brothers never came back from Vietnam. God Bless all the Vietnam vets, your service and sacrifice is not forgotten🇺🇸👍❤.

One of the saddest endings to a movie ever. Voight was terrific as Joe Buck and Hoffman nailed Enrico. Perfect mournful harmonica song.

Jon Voight and Dustin Hoffman achieved greatness with this movie. Harry Nilsson turned this song into legend.

The "Midnight Cowboy" was very first movie I saw in New York City, shortly after having arrived in the U.S.A.. An unforgetable drama that I enjoyed so much seeing. The beautifull ballad by Nilsson helps keep it in my memory. Unforgetable great performances by Voigt & Hoffman.

I don't have enough words to describe how much I love Midnight Cowboy. The urban setting, the music, the tragic friendship, the gritty cinematography, the performances, etc. This is one of American cinema's finest personal films of the past 60 years.

Ahhh, the days when a song told a story, when it didn't just make a very rich person even more wealthy. When we had artists, not performers. Not all change is good.

Stuck in New York in the early 70s. Didn't know how we were gonna get home. This movie kept me up at night because I was so afraid I would end up like them somehow. We made it out but that was an exciting time even if it was a bit scary for this old country bumpkin. Great movies came for that time period ya know.

I saw this movie as a teenager in the theatre. I tried to watch it in recent years… showing it to my daughter. She couldn’t handle it and I actually apologized to her As powerful and moving as it is; it is so overwhelmingly sad and tough I had to stop. I grew up near NYC and was in that part of the city often.and remember 42 street like this. The city itself was in its own way a character in this movie . Somehow it just hurt too much to relive this. I had a close friend and I used to have nightmares that me and him were living this film… and when I was awake and living life I realized if enough wrong turns were taken or enough plain old bad luck… your life could go this way. Still, incredibly powerful; but as an aging person I need more “ comfort food “

God, I will never tire of the 60s!! In fact I think a part of me still lives it!!!

A rebellious 10 year old when this was a hit in the radio, not only a great melody but the lyrics I completely related to, everybody's taking at me, I don't hear a word their saying. Brilliant.

I listened to this wife my beautiful Belgium wife in the Black and White pub in La Louviere. My love has departed this life.

Some movies are bigger than life. This was one of them.

We might all be out on the streets . It was fun in the 70s ... partying with strangers it waas a lot of fun . Now it is weird wouldn't want to be in NY . Been on the streets it was better when I was younger Blessings to all you folks much Love to you

I love the theme tune. It really moves me. It's the sort of music that tells a thousand stories and brings back memories of my youth. Some good and some bad. It's a beautiful tune!

One of the first songs I remember from my early childhood, if not the first. Always love to hear it. Brings back strong memories from a time so far away, that it´s difficult to understand where it went. Miss it, miss everybody who´s gone and have been away for years. Especially my mum since 2003. Would love to take the trip back, meet her again and all the others, settle the worst mistakes and appreciate even higher all the good things that happened the first 30 years of my life. I´m still healthy which is the most important thing right now, but life still could have turned in a better way, if some decisions were made differently. That´s life. Too late now. The song is great. Maybe that´s just what I wanted to say..

Possibly the saddest movie of all time. Up there with the greats. It was just so raw and did not pull any punches. Damn near to a documentary.

It was just a little before 3 a.m. I fell asleep earlier in the evening after a long day that I was hopeful would come. We just closed my Big Brother's Estate on March 5, 2024 After months--- YEARS, I slept until I was woken to a song playing on television. Midnight Cowboy was just starting with Harry Nilsson's song, Everybody's Talkin' I immediately woke up as if I slept for a week. Sat up and was brought back to life! Got excited because this movie was always on my list. But I had only saw clips through the years. Decided it was a good time to make cheese dip. Got it started and back to the movie. I calmed down as I felt a bit cheated. I went all these years not seeing this movie. Enjoyed it immensely! A roller coaster of emotions as I could relate to certain scenes... So the movie was almost finished around 6 a.m. (did a lot of going back) My cheese dip was ready. I wanted to research everything available about Midnight Cowboy. Then the sun came up and back to reality...

Harry Nilsson was a very talented artist. RIP ❤️
