Oiled paper translucency technique for photo emulsion screens

Published 2019-09-24
Transparency film can get pretty expensive for making positives for photo emulsion screens. Turns out, you don’t really need it to be transparent, just translucent enough. So here I show how I can substitute oil saturated paper for exposure to StencilPro (available at CraftyPrinters.com). Just print out your design on regular printer paper, either inkjet or laser. Be sure to keep it black. Then saturate the paper with oil, wrap in plastic, and expose. Replaces the need for transparency film.
