After the cataclysm, the ability to trade Pokemon was lost, so too then were trade evolutions. We've already covered the new evolutions for Pokemon who evolve ONLY via trade, and this time, we're going over Pokemon who evolve via trade WITH a specific held item. If they could still evolve in this new world, what would they look like?

trade evolution Pokémon were to "encourage friendship" but I usually ended up buying multiple versions so I could just self-trade.

When you said Feebas used to be a trade with an itsm evo, but no longer is, you have it the wrong way around. Feebas used to evolve via having a high beauty stat in contests, but when contests kinda stopped being a thing, they added the Prism Scale trade evo in gen 5. (Pretty sure in ORAS either method works). In modern games, you can only evolve Feebas via trading with the Prism Scale

Ok. I wanna mention something that could be super fun for Duskduat in particular. What if the lion's mane like mist is actually originating from a mouth lining the top of the Pokémon's head? The body already looks like a crocodile skull from a bird's eye view, so just imagine how terrifying it'd be to be a Pokémon in the red mist. Only to see a ghostly crocodile skull creature split its head open to eat your soul with! Sounds both incredibly horrifying yet soooo cool as a concept! ^^

Honestly I absolutely adore aromagreese. I can already imagine a butch hoverbike gang leader and her aromagreese keeping the streets (relatively) safe on the lower levels of neo k. Don't mess with her people or you're gonna be curbstomped! There's a reason why her gang is called "The Streetcleaners"!
