  • I would go to the depths of hell for this man. He made me truly believe in my club's greatness again for the first time in my 23 years of life

I’m a Liverpool fan and I really want Slot. I just hope he doesn’t get compared to Klopp at every turn especially when things don’t go right
  • So Man United got a Dutch Walter White, so Liverpool has to get a Dutch Hank Schrader.
  • As a Feyenoord supporter from Zwolle, I can’t say that I have ever been happier with my team. Energetic and clever football combined with results. Winning the league, cup, and reaching a European final has been great. Added to this the 10-0 aggregate win to Ajax this year. People also should not forget how bad Feyenoord was prior to his arrival. The year before, we had struggled to qualify for the Conference league playoffs. If he leaves he’s gonna be missed for sure!! Great vid btw

What makes Arne Slot so strong as a coach is that he's very quick to make changes and switch tactics if need be. He also is great at controlling his emotions making it easier for him analyse what is happening on the pitch. The moment he left AZ for Feyenoord, AZ got weaker and Feyenoord got stronger. He's respected by his players, the Dutch football fans in general which is hard to do and he's a role model for how coaches should act when being interviewed or asked to comment after a game no matter if he won, drew or lost the game. As a Dutch football fan I would describe Arne Slot as a coach like how Phil Jackson was a coach in the NBA

Slot really is the best manager I’ve ever witnessed at Feyenoord. As a Feyenoord and Liverpool fan I have a double feeling. I an gutted for Liverpool and for Arne for this oppurtunity. I am also kind of sad that this journey has to end already after 3 years. Slot Made us belief again. We could dominate against big teams, something i’ve never witnessed in my life. To al Liverpool fans I would like to say: Slot may be bald and Dutch, but those are the only 2 similarities with EtH.

As an AZ Alkmaar fan, I can tell you he has been the best coach since Louis van Gaal in Alkmaar. He adapts to any level. He handles the press with honesty and respect. His next step is to have the same belief from top players. Because let's face it, he has not coached any of those so far. Is he believable for the great stars of Liverpool? I have no doubt he will take that step as well, knowing his social skills and the full support of Van Dijk. An extremely intelligent, likable coach with an endless drive and winner's mentality. I am happy he will go to Liverpool. Good luck!
  • As a Tottenham fan, this is the man I wanted more than Ange at the time. Obviously now we love Ange and the club is much improved, but Slot could do great things at Liverpool

Aside from everything you mentioned, Slot is just a really nice guy that's pleasant to listen to in interviews. He's super likable, even for fans of other clubs like me.
  • @Hilversumborn
I just want to clarify that Slot means lock in Dutch.

Here's a Feyenoord fan from the Netherlands. He is a genius and we will really miss him. For me the best trainer I have seen and I was born in the 80s. He is so intelligent and his playing style is unique in my opinion. I understand that the English are skeptical because of Ten Hag, but you cannot compare him, completely different personalities and different playing style. I believe he will be a big succes 🤞

arne slot is the best thing that happened to feyenoord in a long time together with Dennis te Kloese.
  • @rogerrms2180
Liverpool will be surprised how good the man is,Liverpool will be top fit and aggressive.
  • @vredeling
Arne Slot has all the potention to be a topcoach. He deserves all the praise he gets in the reactions here. I have been a Liverpool fan sinds Rush, Grobbelaar, Barnes, etc. (and Feyenoord) There are a lot of parallels between Feyenoord and Liverpool. The mentality of the fans and the club. It's impossible to predict the future, but I really believe Arne Slot is soon to be loved at Anfield. What doe it say when a coach leaves the club and everybody roots for him. This guy deserves a statue for what he dit for Feyenoord and their fans. Nothing overdramatic about that. We were a club of fatalists, until Arne came.

The photo of Slot playing for Zwolle at around 1:34 is cool to me because the guy he's celebrating with is Súni Olsen, who was my coach when I was a kid back in our little village in the Faroe Islands.

Liverpool fan here. Honestly I'd never heard of him as I don't follow Dutch football. But I like what I've read and heard. If it happens I won't be mad. As I said before when the identity of Liverpool's next manager was being discussed earlier in the season it seemed like the media were sure it was Alonso or Amorim, I commented that the new boss might be someone who isn't even in the running. As Arne wasn't back then. However that point still stands and Liverpool hierarchy have the habit of doing surprising things and signing players left of field, the last being Wataru Endo's signing who no-one saw coming. Even at this stage I wouldn't rule out a name that hasn't even made the conversation so far.
