  • Raised in Victoria. Grew into an adult in Byron. It shaped how I raised my kids in Queensland. I was there from 92 until 97. My sister still lives there.
  • I am going to end this incarnation there. ..my kind of paradise. .thanks for this..much love xxx .xxx
  • I moved here for permaculture principles in 2016 after attending a course in the channon in 2012, then returning to wwoof in 2014. In 2018 i became a manager of an organic farm, but took several steps in a completely different direction after 2019 to go into security working nights. Bizzare twist of fate really. But every day i go for a walk in the afternoon around here im always overwhelmed with how blessed i am and this place is.

Fantastic description , pretty well all bases covered . I've been here since '72 , known Dick since '75 and been working in and around the town since '74 . People ask me why i live here , well this is why -- couldn't have said it better myself . We are thrust out into the ocean here , surrounded by the Pacific . My life has been amazing with the experience i have had , an incredible location to raise my family and see my sons take their young lives out to the wider world and be able to prosper from such a well rounded exposure to the people and the place that Byron & surrounds have become .  I spend half my life in the Philippines these days pursuing my love of tropical waters and the magnificent culture and a lot of people wonder why i have not relocated there - well ! this is why . The Tweed & Brunswick Valleys and the bay they empty out into offer the best of Australia in my opinion and thats why it is my home . On a more controversial point , i think Queensland border should be Cape Byron , the most easterly point, but i am biased being a 5th gen Qld'er haha, i was squeezed down here by the explosion that became the Gold Coast and Joh's draconian laws of the early '70s , i have a sense of freedom here that is hard to find . • Beautiful video. Just made me smile on a cold winter day in the middle of babylon. Much love from the rainbow family in Berlin, Germany.
  • God bless Byron Bay and protect the area from large-scale development. Remember that "they take paradise and they put up a parking lot (car park)."
