How to Save Your Solar Swimming Pool Solar Cover From the Wind

Published 2022-07-16
This video shows the system that I installed for my swimming pool solar cover to keep from having it blow off of the surface during periods of heavy wind. The system includes weighted lead balls, stainless steel coated cable, a few screws, some clamps, some tarp clamps, and stainless steel carabiners.

I cannot find those coated lead weights. Any chance you can provide a link?

This was awesome! We need a way to keep the solar cover for our inground pool in place when the filter is on. It typically ends up in a bunch at the opposite end of the pool because of the water current caused by the filter. Obviously it isn't very effective that way. My husband is very handy, but the older he gets, the less interested he is in handling "projects". Your explanation was about as simple as possible, so I'm pretty sure I can handle this. I can't think of any reason this wouldn't work for us, so thank you so much for sharing!
