The couple seconds of silence at the top of that hill then …”pop” and backwards you go was priceless..almost like an amusement park ride!

The Chang Li build is my favorite series on YouTube right now. I want one!

39:41 That suspense music end combined with the "Uh-oh" is comedic gold.
  • @EdwinOlding
That was the most terrified I have been in a long time!

This things nuts haha.  I've built dual motor RC Cars before, and if you have independent motors driving front and rear axles, the front always spins up more. When you accelerate you get less load on the front axle, so the motor is able to get higher RPM's than the rear. Even when you use separate speed controllers. For the same throttle input, the front can spin faster with less load.

"i be workin under chang-li's all day, my hairs burnin' up" is probably the best will quote of all time.

This one of the only channels that really gives an in depth look at the difficulty of fabricating and machining one-of parts that are ACTUALLY STRAIGHT AND TRUE. Most channels just edit out the part where they realize simply owning a lathe doesnt make you a machinist

34:20 Seeing that ladybug drive across the road from the outside and being able to hear you guys laughing is "premium" :face-purple-crying:love it!

Ethan is like the Red Foreman of this operation, and Will is totally Kelso. Edwin might be Eric... The family dynamic is great, but Ethan just can't resist busting their chops every day :D
  • @jacobcurzon420
I love how you give Will free reign to do whatever and you guys are just there to make sure he doesn't die or catch fire, or smash his phone screen😂

As far as the pinion oiling goes adding some shallow cuts across the outside flat face of the ring gear will make it sling more oil up onto the pinion bearing.

After like 2 months since I've seen the first monster chopper video, I have to say I'm a huge fan of the videographer for this channel so I want to shoutout him and the person whose editing these videos. These right here is a ton of work so I want to recongnize him or them

And the next time on Grind Hard Plumbing Co: "We gutted the Chang Li again. Shoved in the drive train of a 1400kW Rimac Nevera. And put it on 58-inch Mickey Thompsons."
  • @davidsingleton794
You van tell Ethan has taken Will under his wing as his student. Teaching him to become a better welder, fabricator and overall builder!
  • @Thorsten2101
I've always wondered, it's not quite your style to have it only rear-wheel driven. Glad you're doing it all-wheel drive now 😁
  • Uploaded right before the first day of my new job. This definitely settled the nerves down and improved my mood a lot. Thanks guys Edit: To all of the incredible and kind people who commented below; The first day went a lot better than I thought it would!! I know it sounds a little cliché but it was some hard work that made me feel like I was truly working for my pay. The future is looking a bit better now and I finally got some of my self esteem back. Thank you for all of your amazing comments and for being such awesome people. Your comments alone gave me the push I needed to step through that door. Bless your souls❤

Saw the title and immediately clicked "play". These dudes are awesome. I'm 59 and love that they are doing things I've wanted to try. Pass or fail, it's all in the name of progress. (Or it could be construed as ignorance and fool hardiness. Either way, it's fantastic!)
