  • Out of the 4 games from Hoyoverse so far, this one definitely suits me. I simply like Turn based combat because it requires us to think more, and I like that the devs always give quality of life updates and adding more and more endgame content. At first release yes it was quite boring, but now you can do many things in this game and they keep adding more endgame content and events. Not to mention the next patches will continue the main story which will be peak.

i find star rail suitable for me... especially if you are very busy with work. not to mention i don't even have to wait a day or two to farm certain ascension materials.

Something that I really enjoy about HSR is how simple the game is, as a good portion of turn based games have a problem of giving you hundreds of options that you need to spend hours to figure out, only to end up with few actual builds that mostly differ when it comes to stats they scale with, or damage types. While in this game the individual kits are simple enough that you can just change your team before each fight. That said Star Rail also has enough small mechanics to create unique situations that make playing it interesting, as there is always another way to use your abilities (or other characters) to potentially deal damage more efficiently, and get better rewards.
  • 12:56, there's a fix for this!!! self modeling resin! you can pick what set and piece to create, as well as its main stat :) you can get them from events and the BP. you also need fragments from deleting (I forgot the term) 5* relics, but you need 100 fragments, which each 5* relic drops 10, so only 10 5* relics that you don't feel the need to keep. it's suuuper helpful. you can't do anything about the substats unfortunately, but it's a much easier system
  • Not all events are placed into the incomplete events tab you can see which ones are retained by the symbol on the top left corner of the event's tab. Mostly the events that are kept are the ones that have story or world significance

I never really enjoyed genshin impact, but I've actually been having a lot of fun playing hsr. I cant wait for the blade rerun banner so that I can use a real dps
  • @noice9193
Memory of chaos is more end game since it tests your dps without any help from blessings like in simulated universe. Simulated universe is very fun though since it’s like sandbox

I honestly had stopped Genshin cause I got so bored with the grind and the story wasn’t clicking with me anymore. I actually stopped playing it for a year, and then suddenly Honkai Starrail showed up and my brother was trying to get me to play it, but I was pretty apathetic till I watched a review of the game. I definitely find Honkai so much funnier than Genshin and though it’s clear there’s a bigger story, I find myself more attached to the characters thanks to the levity. And I’ve always loved RPG games. So this was a great mix of things I enjoyed, and my goodness the auto-battle feature is so much better to ease in the grind. I just put the auto-fights in the caverns while I work and get the stuff I need. And another thing is I’ve had soooo much better luck with the pulls here, and because there’s so many events constantly, I’ve actually had to spend less in this game than in Genshin to get my characters. And the free 10 pulls after every patch is great. I also love just trying to solo the simulated universe with my Clara.

  • @btwn1n555
Im a day one hsr and genshin player, and to be honest genshin is more for me. however honkaisr is just SO well made
  • @knixknox1356
I thoroughly enjoy HSR so far. I still like Genshin more currently since I have more characters and can use more teams, but once I build more characters, I definitely see myself playing HSR more. The QOL and rewards in HSR is just too good
  • @dindangdere7779
To add on, star rail also has a better farming and "strongbox-like" mechanic. I farm much less in star rail for good builds than in genshin because I can chuck the relics into the synthesiser and choose the piece I need instead of wasting time looking through multiple pieces
  • @Miandey
I played Genshin, for two years - but i am older and too slow for good fights :) but Star Rails turn based fights are totaly good for me. Having fun is Honkai Star Rail for me, thank you for the nice review!
