I prefer bringing cooked shrimp. If fish ain't biting, I take a sip of my Corona Extra and dig in the bait.

I used cooked shrimp for 45 yrs, mostly because its easy to get and it stays on when casting, even without bait elastics, it always worked well.

I have used cooked shrimp for trout here in Michigan. Works very good. If you figure out cost per bait they are cheaper than worms. Plus you can eat the shrimp if the fish aren’t biting. Thanks for the channel!

In South AFRICA we call those black tail. Good eating. Those are descent size, but they get much bigger. Up to about 2 to 3kg on the transkei coast.

A hot day on Florida pier with a bag of frozen shrimp... 1 hour later the shrimp are cooked from being under the sun and they worked just the same, lol!

Hey mate, those are Sargos, They are tasty if you fry them. They're seen a lot in the Middle East. I use to fish those. I am from Lebanon.
  • Use bagged medium frozen shrimp from Sam's Club. It's reasonably cheap and the fish eat it just as well as any bait house shrimp.

You're catching some great fish there. Spent a week sea fishing with my nephew in Wales, and couldn't catch a thing. Didn't try cooked shrimp though.
