Great to see the troop in action. It appears they were concerned about their eldest member, and each took time to care for her in their own way. Gorillas really are a wonderful species. Strong and intelligent yet gentle and, at times, sensitive. Shabani is a fabulous troop leader! Thank you, Japanese Zoo, for this informative view!

Nene is estimated to be about 50, and that is astounding for a gorilla. The world's oldest gorilla just celebrated 66 years old. Nene's health, at her age, must be watched closely. ❤

Lovely to see elderly Nene playing like a young girl. This is a very close family, they have their disagreements but there is a lot of love between them. 🙋♀️🦍🇬🇧

They are so amazing how the care and communicate with each other. When one of them is down the whole family notices. Nene and Ai definitely had a conversation. That was awesome to see. I'm so glad Nene finally ate.

Seems the Silverback is concerned. He is hanging back and keeps looking at her . I hope Nene is okay. And I wonder if something happened to upset her is why she’s not eating. She has a right to be grumpy. She’s a old lady . Love her and can’t imagine this troop without her.
