    Thanks this was really useful! I was trying to explain to my Korean friend why 'fastly' is not a word but couldn't say why they should choose quick instead. This is my answer!

    I don't know about in the US or Australia, but in the UK, the Oxford English dictionary states Fast and Quick adjectives can be interchanged. Yes you can say a car is very quick, in British English. Like many "rules" in English, it's a matter of opinion or style and usage.

    In my English language exam we were given a multiple choice question and the options for it were " i. Quick ii.fast iii.swift " pretty much everyone in our class was confused abt it Thanks for explaining the difference <3
