Downtown Toronto Nightlife on King West | Friday Walk (May 2024)

I'm 70 and living out in Pickering now. I moved out of Toronto at the end of 2010 after I lost my job. I use to love to walk around the city and visit the different neighbourhoods. In this way it allowed me to take in the energy of the city at that time. I really appreciate the work your doing here. Not only does it allow me to keep in touch with things in the big city but I can't help but feel that these walking videos you're doing will one day be valuable time-capsules for people in the future who want to visit this era in the city. And it helps that you have a very good road-side manner...thanks again from an old guy.

Toronto night life just isnt the same anymore. You don't feel and hear that buzz in the streets on a Friday night. Miss those days

I'll never understand what continues to motivate people to stand in line for an hour, waiting to get into a mediocre bar/club, just so they dance all night and blow their cash on overpriced drinks. It's crazy how many people do this ritually every single week, hoping to get lucky and meet someone. All the dudes are trying to get lucky and bring some chick home for the night, usually getting blown off. Most of the women are either getting wasted with their friends or sitting and scrolling through dating apps. Really weird culture we're living in now.

The 90s and 2000s was the best time down there with the bigger clubs

Awesome night walk Johnny! I enjoyed seeing the lively club scence/atmosphere on King W. My clubbing days are looong gone. Rather hang out at a low key bar w/snackies, drinks, & good friends,lol😁 Job well done!🤗

Honeys were a plenty. It's funny they dressed up but they just hit the town just to hang out with their friends in the bars and clubs, no one hooks up anymore lol.

Great video, I really miss walking around downtown . I use to travel from Winnipeg to Toronto every week doing deliveries . Thanks for doing this for all of us who can’t get down there.
