I'm developing a habit of always watching a Kobe Bryant interview each time I need to recharge my mamba mentality.
-
"I'm sitting there, 70, 80 years old...." Oh, Kobe. We wish.
-
What made Kobe special wasn’t just his incredible talent on the court but how he shared his knowledge for a greater human success...RIP

Instead of criticizing the host, which does nothing to benefit you. Focus on what Kobe Bryant is giving us, his knowledge and if you pay attention you can see the tremendous value. -Thank you for reading

I love how calm he is and how he embodies stillness. He has a dream mindset. It’s like every effort he makes is done because it makes sense to him that this is what he has to do in order to become the best player in the world so he does it. Non negotiable. It’s had but it’s simple.

36:26 is the best advice anyone could give and it's not said as often as it should be said.
-
I listened to this the night before he died. This is my first time listening to it since.
-
Also, I liked this interviewer. He genuinely likes Kobe and is a fan.

At 39 min Kobe speaks of the evolution of his goals. When he was young he aimed to be the best ever to do it - that was his primary motivating factor. Then his career progressed he realized that no matter what he did everyone would have an opinion on who is "the best ever" so it's a subjective goal. He began to focus on his teammates. He went from 'me' to 'we, how can we be the best we can be. ' Inspiring others.
