She was basically like: “damn, that’s crazy” 🚬

Pretty unwise to provoke someone who could kill you instantly

Shoko took gojos words to heart. “What kind of idiot picks on the strong”

Kusakabe and Shoko gotta be long lost siblings I swear. Because they're the only people in the Verse who understand that they don't have Plot Armor. So they know they gotta pick their battles carefully.

Her nonchalant vibe about it all makes her a more interesting character to me.
  • Shoko outlived the two strongest Sorcerers of her generation, the dude who is basically an egoist buddha and the dude with the ability to pokemon master his way out of literally all curses in the world
You don't get to do something like that unless you learn to pick your fights

"Yo, it's the criminal!" most base response after your friend just commits mass murder lmao
Shoko and Kusakabe are on the same level of existence lol

People really wanted the White Mage to take on a Max Level Summoner with no plan or Backup.
  • My headcanon is that being a jujutsu sorcerer is so stressful so she's just high out of her mind. Those aren't cigarettes. Those are blunts

She's not only outclassed by Geto, but she's also close friends with him. I don't think she acted this chill because she feared for her life, she just wanted to understand why Geto did what he did, because she was likely as confused as everyone else. I mean, she LITERALLY phones Gojo telling him she's with Geto WHILE Geto is right there. She doesn't give a fuck because she knows Geto won't do anything, they don't have beef with each other. It's just two friends having a conversation, honestly, and proves how much Geto respects her and vice versa.

She is such a badass she called gojo like nothing in front of him and their friendship is really good

The most obvious answer is that Shoko knows better than to provoke someone who is clearly off his rocker and about to go batshit insane. Plus, yeah, she's a doctor, so she's clearly seen some shit and has likely become desensitized by this point. She also knows she can't do anything to stop him, so there's no point in trying. A grade 1 going against a special grade is suicide.

I think there are two other layers to this:
    1. They were all friends, but Shoko was ALWAYS the clear thirdwheel. She was the "other friend", she even complains about how Gojo was so lost without Geto he never saw her right there. So for Shoko, Geto going out and doing all of that on his own is NOT unexpected, she is living in a constant state of her friends doing whatever without her. She is cursed with having two best friends, but no one who calls her their best friend (important to note that even Gojo wasn't really mad about the murders, Gojo was rather mad Geto did not try to get him on board, sure the murder was an issue, but the bigger issue was breaking their friendship).
    2. Shoko is doubly experiencing what it feels like to be next do Gojo, because from her perspective, Geto is just another "Gojo". While there is a chasm between Gojo's power level and Geto's power level, the chasm is much bigger between Geto and Shoko.

I'm honestly just relieved she didn't do the Sakura/Orihime balled up fists headshake while shedding sparkly tears. You know the one.

Those villagers were powerless against Geto, they weren't innocent
