This is bound to be the best money pit series yet.
  • 12:55 the ladder rack coming off in slowmo gave me the same vibes and Forrest gumps leg braces breaking apart symbolizing the freedom to run and just go
  • had the 2000 4.0 which was the last model with the OHV engine (same as in the vid, the 4.3 is incorrect). them losing it on the road with the wheel spin is super nostalgic throwback to my time in college with it. one of the most nonsensical power-torque ratios ever put to a truck under 3500 lbs.

I feel like they got their $500-worth just throwing the stock lemon around the desert. Pure, unadulterated joy from nolan and justin. Dream job.
  • That slowmo shot of the rack falling off was so majestic, it's like the truck was breaking free from the chains of its past life

If nothing else was done to the truck, it really speaks to how well the Ford Ranger holds up. Being so old and having 250k miles. It was impressive to even do that much out in the desert and still take a beating. I can't wait to see it fully modded.

This is what messing with cars with your friends is all about! The host roster for Donut is top notch.. they all have great chemistry, even if the subject is typically “boring”, the entertainment from everyone on the team is amazing. Smiling from ear to ear watching this episode. 😂
  • Noah and Dustin hitting the whoops and dying laughing is peak male brain

Nothing like seeing an old Ford Ranger being put to the test! Can't wait to see how this build progresses.
  • I'm from small town Canada.... you would not find a ranger that nice for under 5 grand round here. what a beauty!
  • I bought a brand new 92' Ranger in 93' with 65 miles on it when I was 12(with the help of my parents of course) and I still have it. spent almost 5 yrs making it a respectable truck with my dad and uncle, not to the degree that you guys are going to. and while it's not my daily driver by any stretch it's more than my almost 1000hp F150 sleeper and of course much less than my daily baby, 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Widebody. My little Ranger does the majority of the grunt work, hauling dirt, rocks, manure, lumber etc. etc. and you'll usually find her out in the fields during hay season doing work and she looks good doing it too, short of a few scratches and dings she looks great too. She'll always have that special place in my heart and I'll never get rid of it. So I'm really excited to watch this series of you guys maxing out an old Ranger.:face-red-heart-shape:
  • When the rack flew off the bed, I like to imagine it like that scene from cars 3 when Lightning’s old paint job gets revealed. I like to imagine the ranger understands its assignment and what it needs to become now.
  • A man who lives near me has a small handyman/landscape company that he runs. He has a yard full of that generation Ford Rangers, each attached to a different piece of equipment or trailer. He's got a Ranger hooked up to a stump grinder, a separate Ranger hooked up to a landscape trailer, a separate Ranger hooked up to a small cement mixer, and a separate Ranger hooked up to a dump trailer. He just gets up in the morning and gets in whatever Ranger is hooked up to what he needs for the day. I think he's a genius.

Now this is what ive been waiting for! Got a 2006 ford ranger xlt 2wd with the 3.0 v6. My great grandfather left it to me when he passed away. Ive been doing small mods on it but im getting ready for a lift and tires. I couldnt imagine ever getting rid of it! Great little trucks!
  • I had a 1995 Ford Ranger back in 2010, and this is exactly how I drove it on dirt roads. It felt like it was constantly going to fall apart and that's what made it fun.

“ it was banging on the roof and then it got quiet “ 😂😂😂 ☠️
  • @Doc1855
For light duty work on our property we either had Ranger’s or Hilux 4WD pickups. The Ranger’s with the 2.3L 4cyl engines proved to be very durable little pickups

$500 for a truck that runs is pretty fantastic. You pretty much knew from the start you would be replacing everything but some of the frame and body anyway. The fact it ran and let you make a video to play with it and make money is super bonus. A spare truck for truck stuff that actually runs for $500 in Montana is a rare find.
