What did killing the dog prove? Killing an animal and then bragging about it is pretty pathetic. Someone smarter and more patient could have trained this dog. How sad is her logic?

Killing your puppy is bad. Proudly admitting it in a book when no one would have known otherwise is even worse.

Taught the puppy to flush pheasants, got angry when it ran around scaring away the pheasants, then when it chased down chickens she killed it. Seems like she was just too lazy or incompetent to finish the training.

It's honestly worse if you read the full story. They were training the puppy to hunt birds, then the UNLEASHED TRAINED-TO-ATTACK-BIRDS PUPPY attacked the neighbors chickens. She punished it for doing what she taught it to do. This isn't "farm life", it's just psychopath behavior. I mean that extremely literally.

lack of empathy for others is a classic trademark of sociopathic behavior. Shooting a puppy for being "untrainable" is not on the dog, its on you. If you can't train a puppy, why would I want you anywhere near the government?

My uncle once told me that to train a dog, you have to be smarter than the dog.

I grew up in a veterinarian household. From my experience Noem is a psychopath. Even from a vet’s perspective this lady is seriously disturbed. Psychopath is the only way I can explain this utterly un-empathetic behavior.
