She is on a higher plane than everybody else. And she consistently surrounds herself with extraordinarily talented musicians.

I was privileged to see Rhiannon Giddens in a smallish theater in Oregon. Simply stunning performance by talented ppl having a great time.

What a great voice and cover, especially nice to hear in an international ensemble led by a Pulitzer winning, banjo playing woman with a ticking brain and a pumping heart!
-
What a lovely Welsh name, Rhiannon, my favourite. Rhiannon the Goddess Queen with her magical horse and birds.

Was für eine Stimme. Ich hatte das Glück sie in Darmstadt live erleben zu dürfen. Grandios. ❤❤

When a song can be covered (so beautifully here) in so many different ways/by so many people/with so many different genre posts - it really strips things down and shows what an amazingly well written song it truly is. LOVE this version. I can’t think of anything that RG has ever done that hasn’t been spectacular. AND, this is a tremendous song. Only made more interesting by her musical choices. * Highly recommend her current national/international series on PBS: ‘My Music with Rhiannon Giddens’. The first season was so stunning I couldn’t imagine how she would even make a second season. But I’m three episodes in and the second season is PERHAPS even more engaging than the first. It’s just such amazing art. And many kudos to PBS for continuing to provide the very best of the best in their programming choices.

This is my all-time favorite Tom Petty. Thank you, for this beautiful tribute.

63 year old rocker since summer of 1972 when I first heard “Exile on Main Street”. TP fan since “Damn the Torpedoes” in 1979. Listen to SXM31 more than other channel with SXM60 a distant second. All that to say that this cover is an absolute masterpiece! Rhiannon crushes it!

To this old man it might be a stretch to call it "country," but it's accurate to call it "outstanding!"
