Great interview from Minister and Brilliant Young Ackeeff
  • Ackeeff ,keep widening your knowledge, do plenty of reading ,listen to the news from all over the world ,and God WILL do the rest for you , you can become the next Prime Minister
  • Hi 👋 to the minister, but big shout out to this young man's parents for nurturing and supporting him. I was raised with a good family but we know our culture and the tendency of parents to talk at you instead of to you and it really hit home when he mentioned the hair dresser piece. As a child, the things I loved were not what caribbean parents saw as good careers; that's because of their own limited thinking and how they were raised. They project that unto you, unknowingly. I succeeded in school and eventually earned my Master's degree which is such an accomplishment to them, but if my first love was nurtured, I would have probably owned a chain of salons, teach others how to do the same and definitely making more money than I am now. I also acknowledge that resources were so scarce at times to invest things we actually wanted to do as children; I would have even went to Edna Manley performing arts school, but I don't know who would pay for it; my next best option was community college in Montego Bay until I left Jamaica. Either way, it all works out in the end. Loved this interview, and excited to see how people are evolving, becoming more involved in nurturing children to be themselves, and allowing to explore all possibilities 😊. This interview made me happy ❤
