Thanks for watching! I tried to keep the brainrot stuff to a minimum here, but there's only so much you can say about Bologna's Riccardo Calafiori before the word "aura" shows up.

Some people are saying he's primed to make a move to a top Premier League side, but we'll see how these Euros pan out for him. He is only the second-youngest player to ever play in the competition after all (just behind Paolo Maldini). Let me know what you think in the comments!

  • I hope he’s not injury prone due to that knee injury. I would love to see him succeed as he is a very fun player to watch despite being at defense.

Roma truly did give away some premium talent over the years. Scamacca, Frattesi, Calaforini... all mostly sold for a pittance.

Gave a good overview of how he devloped into the player he is, but didnt overlook a couple of issues that would need to be managed. Main challenge if he does come to the Emirates will be how he adapts to the role Arteta has planned for him. Remember that even an experienced player like Tomiyasi admitted that it took him a while to understand what Arteta wanted him to do, and Havertz looked lost for the first half of last season. If Arteta has a flaw its that he sticks very firmly to whatever system or game plan he decides on, and there isnt much room for individual flair if it doesnt fit. Even Saka found himself having to stay out of goalscoring range in many games last season because Arteta knew it would usually draw 2 opposition defenders and leave space in the box for other Arsenal forwards. Saka was unselfish enough to go with the plan, but its why Toney wouldnt be a good buy unless Arteta played him as No1 goalgetter with permission to go after every chance he saw. Its also why Calafiori will only work at the Emirates if he is being bought to play to his natural strengths. I'm not totally convinced, but if he signs I'll "trust the process"

It was quick video but beautiful and very informative thank u my friend u just got new follower
  • What I like about this player is that he combines physical abilities and technical qualities, he knows how to defend and he projects forward.... He's a modern defender, he's as I see it, I was sure that he was going to go to Juventus to join Thiago Motta and also because few Italian players dare to go and play abroad. I can't wait to see him play in the Premier League with Arteta.
  • We have great players and they need playing time. Calafiori needs to continue playing and he will be the next Great Italian Defender. Surely, these EURO's performances just bumped up his stock!

Finally a great successor to Maldini, Nesta, Cannavaro, Bonucci, etc..

Very high quality video compared to your sub-count. You deserve more subs!
  • I'm glad me and Christoph Kramer aren't the only people who have noticed...

Calafiori continues the great Italian tradition of great defenders. A glorious centreback. Carrying the mantle of Maldini, Nesta, Cannavaro, Bonucci, and Chiellini. Joining him is Bastoni, Buongiorno, and Mancini.

Roma like many of the Series A clubs seem not to let homegrown talent succeed and would rather buy established foreign players. This obviously affects the national side, hence missing the last two world cups.
  • @walsch80
It's simply great. He looks like Maldini. Finally, a defender like Italy ever had in the past.

Mourinho should not be allowed back in Rome for freezing him out of the squad.
