There aren't many verses and yet the lyrics say so much, I think a lot of women have sadly felt that way where their feelings weren't heard because the partner was too focused on their physicality and reducing them to their bodies

I really admire the differences between all of claire's writing, this song is so soft and conveys so much emotion, wanting to be heard emotionally when one instead reaches for physical intimacy instead. They're not substitutes for eachother, they're two apart
