10 Cheapest Places in Florida to Buy a Home. (nice places)

Welcome back. Let’s take a look at Florida.
Affordable housing in nice places is getting harder and harder to find these days.
Today we will list 10 places in Florida that are affordable and still a nice place to live.
So what is affordable? Well, that would be places that have a cost of living and housing around the national average. What is a nice place to live? That will be a place with a crime rate and unemployment below the national average.
We also look into how the locals grade their town or neighborhood.
Florida has a great housing market if you know where to look. If you are from Florida you may already know about these places already.
Florida has been gaining population for the last few decades and it really doesn't look like that will slow down anytime soon.

  • When did $350,000 for a 3 bedroom home become "cheap?" Insane! I bought a 3/2/1 with a gorgeous stone fireplace on a 1/2 acre lot in Ocala - great neighborhood - for $135,000!
  • For 2023, it’s hard to nail down specific predictions for the housing market is because it’s not yet clear how quickly or how much the Federal Reserve can bring down inflation and borrowing costs without tanking buyer demand for everything from homes to cars.

I've lived here all my life and the cost of everything has gone up 200% in the last 7 years. 7 years ago I paid 850 bucks a month for a beautiful 2 bedroom condo 3 miles from the beach. Same place now is over 2000 a month! And no wages haven't gone up. They only increase, if you're lucky, by 2-3% every year. I am thinking after living here all my life I might have to move when I retire. Retired people are moving away from the state that's known as the retirement state! 🤨😵‍💫🤔😳
  • Being a Floridian all my life, these are not the cheapest places in Florida to live..... you are way off the mark
  • We need a new update for 2023, prices went up like crazy

The places in Florida that people actually want to live in are expensive as hell. The inexpensive places are generally nowhere near the coast and have little to no industry. Great if you’re retiring on a budget but if you’re hoping to get a job that actually plays well, you won’t find one.

I’ve lived all over the United States, Florida is a paradise to retire to. There’s something for everybody. Especially artists’ groups.

Super surprised that Yulee FL wasn’t on this list….low cost of living, great schools, low crime, and close to the ocean!! It’s a growing community with more retail/shopping being built rapidly, along with parks, trails, and lots of outdoor activities for everyone to enjoy!! ☺️

We made it to Florida and now we are following your guide knowledge
  • I had lived in the Tampa Bay Area for 25 years. It’s mostly flat with little in the way of scenic topography, the beaches are not very interesting, and the variety and amount of bugs are way worse than in the tropics where I now live. The politics of the state are insane. I would never move back.
  • @alexjames1397
Unfortunately these places are getting more expensive.
  • Native of Virginia from the lower peninsula and now I reside on the Treasure Coast in St.Lucie county and I personally really like it here overall!. I enjoy the St.Lucie West area and Tradition area, as well driving down the A1A and going to Jensen Beach. I would say Port Saint Lucie is relatively safe for its population and the county as a whole although I’m not crazy about Fort Pierce. I do like the close access to the I95, US1 the Turnpike and the A1A. There’s a good bit of stores, shopping and food places to venture to. As for houses it’s going up and houses are always being built on any land that can be used. I lived for about a year so I’m still learning so much about the region, but I’ve loved Florida ever since I was kid, all in all I’m content👍🏾

Fun fact about Lake Jesup: it has the highest concentration of alligators of any body of water in the world. If they all came of the water at the same time, you could cross the entire lake from one end to the other on alligators backs. It’s 13 miles long.
  • I live in the Secret Cove area of Jacksonville. Definitely a great place to live. Nice mix of single family homes, condos, townhouses, and apartments. Shopping nearby at St Johns Town Center, and Avenues Mall. 11 miles, 17 minutes, to the Beaches. Better hurry though. My condo has increased in price by 50% since we moved back here in March 2017.
  • @dbrew2u
There are no Cheap places to live in Florida . Those days are long gone .
  • @r1mein54
There are no separate towns near Jacksonville, all of Duval County is called Jacksonville since consolidation in 1968.
  • @Crambles
Grew up in Winter Springs*** nice town, enough amenities, nothing stands out but it checks the boxes and 20 minutes from Orlando!
  • @pixelsticks8637
I like how he picks places no Floridians live. None of us pay that much to live here. Lmao
  • I checked out 'all over' FL about twenty years ago, when searching for a new place to live, leaving an overcrowded SO. CA. I fell for the area west of Ocala after seeing the 'horse country. But then the real estate woman who was a native said if you see a puddle of water assume an alligator is living in it, but you will be ok. That and watching the weather channel and the storms I opted for a flyover state in the middle of the U.S. with lots of rivers, lakes, and tall trees. Am very happy with the decision. Much lower cost of living and very low crime in the rural areas.
