Despite the impressively fast progress that Tesla has made with their Optimus program, there are plenty who doubt Tesla will be able to deliver on their promises with Optimus with one analyst even claiming that Optimus is really about ten years behind in technology. Follow along as I discuss why this analyst is wrong and share the latest Optimus updates from Elon Musk.

The mechanics of Optimus is not important. It is the brains that matter. Optimus's nature and nurture is FSD tech and learning.

Tesla has 2 or 3 places in Texas to build stuff.

Tesla’s hands are obviously far more dexterous and more general purpose. However that latest Atlas is a huge improvement over previous Atlas in arm and leg dexterity which it also appears to beat Optimus at. Atlas might make a better rescue bot, but not a better factory worker currently. If you took Tesla’s AI and hand dexterity with Atlas arm and leg mobility you would have something superior to human physical capability and better than either current version.

Can it shuffle faster than Joe?😂

The Boston D. robot and the Tesla robot are both examples of great tech. Both are fantastic companies and we need them both. Both bots have their pros and cons. I am not sure which one is going to have the most successful bot but we shall see. The B.D. bot definitely needs some decent hands but that will come with time. The Tesla bot needs the software completed and all the training done but that will happen too. I think Tesla will end up having an advantage because of their ability to mass produce complex products at a competitive price.

Moving and handling work humanlike controlled by Tesla's upgradable electronics will make the first robot sold up-to-date with the last one. Ageless. No need to wait once offered. Tesla has this track record.

So many analysts are idiots, yet MSM gives the worst continual air time. BD has been at it for 30 years, yet Tesla's already matched them in three. Many startups and Chinese companies, so hard to say who's ahead, but Tesla has some impressive demos and abilities to crank out product. Surprised people mention household work and not jobs like fast food. In CA at $20 an hour + overhead that's a good $40,000 for a FTE. Tesla could lease Optimus at $10 or 20K a year and the employer would still save a bundle plus not have the hassle of employees not showing up, not washing their hands after using the restroom etc.

Only saw one cybetruck so far… imagine Optimus will take many years before I ever see a single one

One reason you Musk fanboys get so much hate is cause you keep getting hung up on criticism and criticising back, instead of just sharing and celebrating the accomplishments, which paints the picture there are none to celebrate.

ASIMO was walking around human offices in 2011 and had really good hands, could walk upstairs and play soccer with Obama
