Thanks for Watching! Dont miss the Surprise Ending LOL!! Train Simulator Addons: Canadian Pacific AC4400CW Loco Canadian Mountain Passes: Revelstoke-Lake Louise
  • The one sad thing about TS is how Dovetail has treated it. The game engine is absolutely ancient and has become very PS2-esque. If they can pair the technical fidelity of TS to the graphical fidelity of TSW then they will have a solid product.
  • @hamslice863
Awesome video! The amount of detail in this AC4400 is pretty crazy
  • @timlennon4571
If you're wondering, through crossings it's 2 long a short and a long with the last long horn continuing through the threshold of the crossing.
  • @andie_pants
I could get behind this sim. At 42, I'm embracing all the "old guy" hobbies like rail fanning. :-P
  • As a conductor for NS, the sounds from this are 100% realistic. Shame that you don’t have these sounds on TSW… would make it the perfect sim.
  • @arclight4625
Agreed about sound in a simulator being a huge factor in making things more realistic feeling. I'm more of a flight simulator guy, but really enjoying your train videos. To the point of wanting to try one out. Especially with this video and the fact that I live in BC, Canada and have traveled through that area, where this setting takes place hundreds of times.
  • All those trains have that nice hum or glide effect when on the rails, it's so cool sounding.
  • @cody8217
"Why does this happen every time?" Probably because you blew past that Approach signal and didn't slow, preparing to stop at the next signal. It doesn't take long to study and learn standard signals. You can find them on the internet.
  • @andyrauoy
Sounds much better than any of the trains Ive heard in TSW2, but the graphic... looks like a early 2000game. I think the graphic in TSW2 is much better, but not exactly cutting edge there neither. They should convert this loc to TSW as well:) Great video
  • @SLAVECO3
Great video! I'd love to see or find more simulators that go through the Canadian Rockies!!
  • @AntonioL1011
Mannn I Just wanted you to know that you really really do a fantastic job presenting this Train Simulator!! I love the way you walk us through the details and the Science behind operating a freight Train . I have one Question, have you ever tried it in VR, and can it be Used in VR As well? Anyway keep up the Great work, I really enjoy watching!!💯👍👍
  • The details are amazing keep grinding you can tell its geared for success in real life i dont know of any track anywhere where your train will just roll for miles though in real life you will spend about as much time in dynamic as throttle signal meanings are important to and braking distance are not even close pretty cool though
  • @SmokinOak
I'm not sure about Canada, but here in the US you would have had an investigation for your alleged violation of failure to have your ditch lights on while operating on the main line, then disciplined accordingly. ie fired. Secondly, It's 2 short toots of the whistle to indicate you're moving agead. If you ever blow the whistle that long while working with a crew, they'd probably hit you upside your head. Thirdly, There are no "Yellow" lights. They are "Amber". Fourthly, The alerter will cause a 'Penalty" application of the air brakes not an "Emergency" Application. I'm just nit picking here, Great video BTW.
  • @KutWrite
Very nice sim. I've worked as train crew and agree on its realism. The "hum" you mentioned I think of as a whine. It's likely either the turbochargers or electric traction motors. DId you notice the white metal teapot stand? Teapots are required in Canadian cabs! The signal confused me, too. Looks like it was clear for the #2 track and stop for you (us). Should've been a green over red due to the siding that followed, so it could show a diverging approach if a train was going into the siding. Not possible on the single-light stand you saw. If you're bored with this, it's realistic! That rocking motion used to have me fighting sleep even during the day. But if you stop to do pickups and setoffs at various yards, you'd be less bored. Planning those takes some brain power! The 50/45 sign means 50mph for passenger trains, 45 for freight. As to the brakes, if you use dynamic brakes (you have to look it up) you can back off them, even though the air brakes don't let you. At about 45:45 I believe that was a lunar signal, not yellow. That would be a "restricting" indication. Either way, it warned of a possible Stop signal ahead. That's why you busted that red one.Railroading can be exciting!
  • @thetrainshop
Not sure why YT is just now showing me this, considering I do my best to keep an eye out for videos and reviews. It's extremely flattering to hear that you enjoy our product! We really put our heart and soul into it.
  • @darrencsturgis
Put you ditch lights on! Your all ready FIRED! Cool Video, I could be a consultant to Microsoft about how to make this more realistic as we can without the fear of DEATH!
  • @Tamburello_1994
I have the same SS AC4400 but they don't have figurines like yours. Nice demonstration btw.
  • @Syolaar
The best TS DLC I've tried. Love every minute. Can't count how many times I've gone barrelling backwards failing the hill start & lost control on the downhill. I like a steady auto-brake & varying the dynamic brake to hold the downhill, too much time to reset the brakes and I keep losing it.
  • @brandondavis233
Nice video man you gotta do more of these I’m going to school this fall to become a bnsf engineer 👌🏾💯 🔥
