  • 6:33 -What about the African front? proceeds to talk about Gallipoli shows a map from egypt Perfect
  • If anyone wants to play the game still, we do play sessions EVERY SATURDAY at 1pm EST on the BR1 server.
  • I am a WW1 historian, and I think that there is a lot that can be done with the timeframe. As you mention with Gallipoli and the Middle Eastern Theatre, we're getting the Pacific Theatre with Squad 44 we could get the Asian and Pacific Theatre in WW1. There is no game as far as I know that has been set in the Asian and Pacific Theatre of WW1. Or we could even the various African fronts like with the Battle of the Bees from the East African campaign. Then of course we could get more of the Eastern and Balkan fronts. Bulgaria doesn't get the representation they deserve in media. Theres just so much thats left unexplored. I do think they should revamp what they have already with the Western Front before they go to any other Theatre. Oh and the tanks need serious updates. This is just wrong for the pioneering days of the tank and the so little representation they have is just really unfortunate.
  • Ever since I played the WW1 game series and read the book, African Kaiser, I have longed for a WW1 game set in Africa. Thank you for sharing the sentiment, I hope a dev team notices bro!
  • This seems an incredibly optimistic take. Any investment made into BTW has to be predicated with a projection of recouping those costs, and it is very difficult to see this game selling well or selling cosmetics/DLC well to a player base that has long ago fled ... and that has much more competition nowadays. Isonzo has some of the player base, but what games would BTW be most likely to take from? Squad, Squad 44, and Hell Let Loose. It doesn't do Offworld any good to steal players from Offworld's other games!
  • I hated the bad hit registration. That was for me the major reason i stopped playing the game
  • I love beyond the wire i wish people still played it. I wish there was more ww1 games
  • You can play with 20 - 30 players on Saturdays starting at 2pm EST, going until ~4-5 EST! a few months ago we got a few events with 100 players again! The game has an insane amount of potential, and an incredible loyal fan base that can still get 100 players over a year after the last update. If the player base can do that, imagine if they just did a bug fix without new content, we could get 100+ consistently. And if they added most of the content they were already working on and almost had done? It would increase player count a huge amount. We need support back for this game, until then, we still have fun on Saturdays!
  • This game has so much potential... it truly is sad to see no one even knows about it.
  • For me the reason why most ww1 genre shooter games became stale is that they all have the same time frame and that is late war period I know developers would have more content if they focus on late war period because it has the cool stuff like tanks, planes, armored train, chemical weapons, flame throwers anti tank guns. But what about the early war period like the 1st battle of Marne in 1914 that battle is like ur traditional battle we saw in the franco prussian war open plains, soldier marching and shooting in formation, house to house combat. Most ww1 games happens in 1916-1917 but what about the battles that happens in 1914-1915? The only games that i know that covered the early war period is the Isonzo game which covers the 1st battle of Isonzo and also the underrated ubisoft game called Valiant Hearts, a story/puzzle game that covers not only the start of war but also the last months of it.
  • Saturday at like noon eastern u.s. time they play. A youtuber is leading this playerbase community effort to play full servers. Please like this to spread the word.
  • Come play on Saturday, gentlemen! It's great fun!
  • @nl4770
Beyond the wire provided me with hours of fun. I hope you're right.
  • I really hope they revive this game Ive been wanting a game like this for years but could never get myself to buy a game with 3 players
  • @nickzick6163
I actually miss this game so much and wish it got more love.
  • Yeah right. I was an alpha tester for this game. It fell off so hard. Between squad 44 or post scriptum and this game, it split dev resources I think. I hope it gets saved, but it I’m not holding my breath
  • I'm generally satisfied with the WW1 Games Series (nice going using the Verdun music by the way!) although I've been so happy to see Post Scriptum/Squad 44 get taken over to get new life and I'd love to get Beyond the Wire back into working order. I don't have very many friends that play that genre, but shoot it'd be great to see it get a revival.
  • we've seen the sad state of war shooters front and back, they are unoptimized, buggy, neglected, or a mixture of all 3.
