No power = NO AIR CONDITIONING! It’s Texas, in July! WTF!
  • @409_Texas
You would think Houston would be more prepared after Harvey

Please stop saying million people. that’s inaccurate. It’s one million customers. Each household has about 4-5 people

We did 13 days no power after Hurricane Ike here in Central Houston. Centerpoint never learns. Why? Because leadership in this state cares more about peoples private parts and abortion than it does about actual issues that affect its citizens. We have had issues after issues. Greg Abbot is too busy in Asia playing up his post governor career, and Ted Cruz, who lives 1.4 miles away from me, is in California Whale watching. Pathetic.

Why does Texas insist on having a separate power grid from the rest of the mainland US.

Tomorrow will be 5 days without power and being hot as hell 😢

Imagine the death toll already, how many 85+ year olds that live alone, just imagine.

This is why blue-collar jobs need to be respected more. Imagine if people didn't have plumbing for 4 days...
  • Didn't the governor leave for a trip to Asia knowing Beryl was heading their way? And then couldn't be contacted? The suffering of those without power breaks my heart.

For an area used to seriously bad weather… The response is like they have never been hit by a hurricane. Is this poor response scripted?

Im here in Houston. I've been out of power since Sunday night/early Monday morning. Its hot as hell. I do appreciate the service workers, but man I feel like they need more ppl or something. We've already started having deaths related to the heat. Plus, many gas stations have no gas and fast food places run out of food quickly. Its rough...

basically the texas gov doesn’t want to take responsibility. They’ll cry for help soon.

IT'S NOT JUST HOUSTON AND IT'S NOT JUST CENTERPOINT.
  • @MrSharkGuy85
Our city is not prepared for any storm. Like we live in the coast! And yet a category 1 was able to put 2 million people out power in this heat?! Oh hell no! Something is wrong!
  • Anyone who is gloating over the suffering of our fellow Americans is a very sad and disgusting person

Governor just sucks, no direction from him at all
  • @Knaeben
Whenever you privatize these utilities, quality is going to go to crap.
