  • That one kid that loved making sandcastles has some toned hands rn
  • This is actually good for hand conditioning in general, not just striking. Masahiko Kimura used this or something close to it as one of the methods for stronger grips he lacked in judo matches. Needless to say he's one of the best judokas who ever walked the planet and yeah he ragdolled Helio Gracie, one of the founders of brazilian jiu jitsu. That says a lot.. :)
  • Good. As an advice most people nowdays have very soft skin, you can start striking brine in a bucket for some time before starting with sand.
  • Opening the hand is by far the most important thing to me. Opening the hand under resistance is something that rarely ever happens to us humans. When doing this in sand or rice, all the little muscles on the back of the hand get taxed tremendously.
  • The intensity, only comes through dedication
  • This workout will definitely wake you up * Must try** My knot in my wrist is slowly going down and getting soft thank you 😊
  • ..... I always thought this was literally just toughening your hand up, but as soon as you started demostrating around the 2 minute mark I could see how this also trains your forearms, and in a way that's often overlooked (the twisting motion). This is awesome
  • I'm no expert but it seems like this would be a good exercise for people with arthritis or post-carpel tunnel surgery or rehabilitation therapy, occupational therapy etc.
  • Thank you! I purchased a medicine ball that was full of sand, however it tore (thankfully the brand sent me a new one). Now I can make use of the sand from the torn one.
  • Thank you very much for the video. I really think this is the easiest way of condition the arm.
  • This has helped my pain in my elbows and forearms! Thank you!
  • Gonna use this to help my uncle fix his stiff fingers. Tottaly nothing to do with martial arts but this is a golden exersize.
  • Yeah , at first the stabbing will be abit difficult but perseverance is key 💪🏽 I personally like the grab and twist and the opening ohhhh after a good 15-20 mins the pains hellish 👌🏽
  • I’ve actually only ever seen the finger tip-knife hand striking. The other strengthening moves you show seem very practical.
  • Thank you for the calm explanation. Great video!
  • Thank you I just subscribed. I would like to start consistent conditioning for martial arts. At the moment I’m into Wing Chung , hope one day to learn some shaolin which is amazing as far as I can see
  • This really works well done this training as a ung lad loved it
