Whether as an Egyptian Priest or the head of his own company, Seto Kaiba has stood as Yugi’s eternal rival and one of the only duelists capable of keeping up with the King of Games - Opposing Yugi’s belief in the Heart of The Cards by instead believing in the objective strength of his deck and his skill as a duelist.

And it’s for this reason that Kaiba is so iconic and well-loved, because no matter how arrogant he is, Kaiba always has the dueling strength and coolness factor to back it up, which is why we’re going to look at Kaiba’s ten most iconic cards, how Kaiba used their strength to his advantage and whether or not that power actually holds up in the real life game.

"Thats right, I sacrifice GOD!" went so hard though

I only disagree with one thing. Obelisk’s most iconic moment was when he was summoned in Dark Side of Dimensions. “It’s no monster. It’s a God!”
  • I feel like Kaiba is the only core group member that would succeed in real world duels. Everyone else running round talkin “heart of the cards” and getting lucky would get dunked on as soon as protag powers don’t carry. Kaiba is at least like “I’m good because my deck is meticulously optimized to be good” and while he would certainly have to change his deck, he’s be down as long as it earn tournaments and had a blue eyes

I think it's ironic the one time Blue-Eyes became meta, it was thanks to a defensive strategy instead of its usual offensive support.

Kaiba is one of the best antagonists ever made. His burns and one liners are legendary and I wish he'd get his own series where he's the protag who finally becomes the best duelist in the world

Nice. Now I want to see Joey Wheeler, Marik, Judei, Yusei, Chaz, and all memorable charcters' important cards.

Blue-Eyes didn't just win the World Championship, it won it in a Mirror Match!

One of the most interesting part of original Yu-Gi-Oh was that, despite his philosophy, Kaiba actually had a closer bond to the Blue Eyes White Dragon than Yugi to ANY of his cards, making it an interest dichotomy with his philosophy. İt was also a trend in Yu-Gi-Oh for a while: Manjoume talked with cards more than Judai (and had the amazing victory with Ojama Yellow), Jack defined Red Dragon Archfiend "his very soul", and Kite had the spirit of his brother in his ace card. Reiji and Revolver were the first rivals to actually have a more utilitaristic attitude. İ always found it very cool.

Can we just talk about how silly it is that Pegasus made a game where you can only have up to three copies of any given card in your deck, then made exactly four copies of BEWD? The closest there is to a reason is the fact there are four Eyes of Blue monsters to retroactively explain within card-lore why there were four BEWD cards.

I totally agree, Blue eyes is not just a card, it is a bridge between me and my childhood. I will never sell my 3copy of first edition SDK-001. I love your video keep going man!!

I remember the combo I was real proud of back in the day: Lava Golem > Ring of Destructing > Barrel Behind the Door. Golem deals it's 1000, then I explode it, use the trap to double that towards opponent then use anything to deal 1000. Was the only thing I ever did in YGO that made people finally be like, "Oh hey, it's this guy who did that thing"
  • I wish Cyber Jar got an honorable mention , Kaiba never used the card himself but it was apparently always in his deck and was used against Noah Kaiba by Yugi who fused his deck with kaiba's Its not the most competitive card in-game but it was banned until recently

I've always loved Kaiba deck since when I first bought his starter deck, it had the most amazing shiny blue-eye card. When I first used it at my high school to play w/ my class mates, they always comment on how mine was different from theirs even though it was from the same starter deck set. It wasn't until many years later after I quit playing w/ the physical card game that I found out that my blue-eyes dragon was actually misprinted. I still have that card.
  • @Simmons3ptO
I can firmly agree with the end statement you made for the Blue-Eyes White Dragon. I firmly believe in that card and its archetype that one day it will rise again. Until then, I will still stick by it in Master Duel and beyond.
  • @ianr.navahuber2195
1:45 I forget that the filler gave LaJinn such an epic moment in the anime..... Also surprised they haven't tried to make LaJinn its own archetype. Not even as a case of "Blue-Eyes support because it was X thing the main Blue-Eyes user (Kaiba) used" 18:36 Even DSoD Kaiba used Sagi the Clown (now, so he could use the trap "Dark Sacrifice") 23:49 Funny enough, now that Grandpa Mutou is plyable in Duel Links, they added a in-universe justification as for why would Kaiba let it be playable to anyone: as a prove that he is the one to have mastered them, and is superior to any other Blue-Eyes player
  • @lucentnether9154
Actually, in the anime, Enemy Controller's control effect is to let you tribute an opponent's monster for a tribute summon.
  • I kinda wish Critias fusions get a retrain because they are really cool Fusions
  • @megumin4919
Always love a new video from this channel. These anime top 10 are not a bad change of pace. Keep it up man.
  • @AJI00002
One entry worth mentioning as well: Lord of D & Flute of Summoning Dragon combo
  • @Billy_Wyatt
Honorable mentions for me are Hitot-Su Me Giant, Saggi The Dark Clown, Chaos Emperor Dragon, Kaiser Sea Horse and Blade Knight.
