Birthdays have always been a sad day for me as a teenager. It was always on vacation period so everyone was out of town. As I grew older, I started being super intentional on my day and never ever let it go by unplanned. And I also never relied on anyone else to plan something; my feelings cannot be left to someone else’s willing of planing something for me because there’s always the risk of nothing happening :( Planing things ahead, inviting people in advance and having something to look forward to has helped the past birthdays go by a lot more joyful and happier🫶
