Theory: I think that the inside of the comet was made of special pink diamond that works like the gem kind and it could make light projection and that the pebbles we're small and careful enough so they could forge Pink Diamond with their bismuth powers with so much details and powers out of the inside of the comet, but the inside was not big enough for the size of the other diamonds, thats why pink is smaller

I thought pebbles are leftover gem fragments from injectors that didn't make a full gem so made pebbles instead. Basically pieces of different gems that came together in small pebbles. And pebbles are like the gem version of cockroaches or mice.
