The Japanese fleet formation makes more sense. Rather than each one sailing alone all 3 carriers are sailing in formation. Also it was thematic as hell after the dive bomber strike when you see Hornet is damaged and the music switches to sad music
-
This is actually better than the actual Battle of Santa Cruz South Dakota has a chance to show her true power
-
This reminds me of when the RV Petrel found the sunken remains of the USS Hornet.
-
I see what they did there... spawned so many dive bombers out of nowhere during the cutscene that it is impossible to defend, Hornet will get destroyed or taken to very low health no matter what. There is an excuse to have the sinking stuff as compared to in the campaign where you might have Hornet barely touched and be forced to sink her anyway.

Hey Runsva I know that people may have already asked this and this would be Historically inaccurate but is there a way were you could some how save Lady lex in coral sea or save Hornet in Santa cruz? My reasoning for asking this is what if you do save them well then you could use lexington in the midway mission with Yorktown or if save Hornet she could be in missions that Enterprise is in or is in missions that needs a proper carrier instead of the escort carriers. My point is how would future missions go with carriers that were sunk but you save them instead?

'Where is their banzai now?'

There’s a bug where my visibility is extremely big and I immediately detect the enemy fleet, how to fix?
-
Does this work with the Realism Mod?
