Tatanga needs to come back. So much potential with these characters
-
Nokis are actually in Mario Kart 8. They're background characters in both the Water Park and Coconut Mall tracks Chunky Kong also recently physically appeared in the new Mario movie much to everyone that spotted him's surprise Xp

Baby Wario DID return to another game.... Dr Mario World as a doctor LOL!
-
Ukikis did come back. They actually debuted in Yoshi’s island….
-
you forgot Piantissimo from Sunshine, he can definitely make a comeback considering he found the Magic Paintbrush at the end. maybe he was the reason for the trouble in Bowser's Fury (maybe Jr bought a different model of it or something).
-
Other forgotten characters: -Stanley from DK3 -Foreman Spike from Wrecking Crew -The bosses form Wario’s Woods -Ōsama and his commander from BS Super Mario USA
-
Actually, Wart had a small comeback in "Link's awakening"
-
Pine from Yoshi’s Safari isn’t the only Prince in Mario games. -Mallow from Super Mario RPG -Peasley from Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga -Pikante from Super Mario Galaxy 2 -Dreambert from Mario & Luigi: Dream Team -Florian from Super Mario Bros Wonder There are also princes from other media: -Haru from Super Mario Bros.: Peach-hime Kyūshutsu Dai Sakusen! -Andre from the Super Mario Bros. Side-Story game book. Both of them were engaged to Peach.
-
DK Jr is believed to be modern DK and arcade DK is believed to be cranky Kong, so that's another reason we might not have DK Jr anymore. But VB and N64 Mario tennis had him in it!

A parasol? Parry the parasol!!!

I really wish they’d bring back Tumble. Why? So Toad can be playable in Mario Party games again. Besides, Tumble fits more as a host because he fits the general gist of Mario Party to a tee.
-
Thing to note about Donkey Kong Jr.: while the timeline seems to differ depending on the era of Nintendo, the main consensus nowadays is that Donkey Kong from the arcade game has grown older to be the character who is now called Cranky Kong. Cranky Kong's son is Donkey Kong Jr., who is actually the father of the present Donkey Kong. So had Donkey Kong Jr. been present in Double Dash, he would have been a child racing along with the adult version of his son. Weird.
-
I would have said Spike from Wrecking Crew was the most obscure Mario character, but then he had a surprisingly huge role in the movie.
-
@Infinite Bits DK JR actually was in the crowd in Waluigi Stadium in MK DD
-
YO! You forgot Prince Peasley from Superstar Saga!
-
People have said that Jumpman in the original Mario games is Mario’s father, and Pauline(from that game, and not the current Pauline) is his mother. And they have also said that Donkey Kong Jr from those games grows up to be present day Donkey Kong
-
Hey, fun fact! MC Ballyhoo's design makes a lot more sense when you realize he was designed by Masanori Sato, the character artist for the Mario & Luigi series!
-
I really like Wart/Mamu. A giant, nefarious frog who rules a dream world is so perfectly Nintendo-y and retro.
-
Actually according to the dk lore The classic dk is the current cranky kong and the dk Jr is the sob of the classic dk, which means that dk Jr is the father of the current dk

Fun fact: The nokis actually appear in the MK8DX version of Coconut Mall
