Clash Royale's Pekka has had a very prominent history in Clash Royale. It's one of the franchises most iconic troops. Yet in recent years, it's fallen HARD. This is her story.

Correction: The PEKKA's description in Finnish does not use male pronouns to describe her, but its rather gender neutral. Cannot confirm if this is the case for the other languages mentioned.

Pekkaโ€™s sole existence these days is either to bridge spam, or because people just hates mega knights to an extent
  • I've been using P.E.K.K.A in my deck for years, I don't care how bad she is. I just love using her
  • 2:36 The Finnish translation does not refer to P.E.K.K.A. as male. Finnish does not have gender specific pronouns, nor does the description contain a word specifying gender. Finnish does however translate horribly with Google translate, which is where the mistake is
  • @Jordanpree
Pekka is still scary because nobody expects their opponent to use her. ๐Ÿ’€

The name P.E.K.K.A comes from a common Finnish male name Pekka. It was not originally an acronym in the beta stages of Clash of Clans. It likely started as an inside joke between the devs.

I still prefer to think Pekka says 'Fucking Die' when deployed, makes more sense in my head.

Btw the P.E.K.K.A. acronym comes from the Finnish male name of Pekka, since supercell is a Finnish company. Though Pekka is refered to as a female in the finnish version too, because Finnish doesn't have gender specific pronouns. Hope this helped.

I love tuning into these videos to get detailed information about PEKKAs reproduction cycle, very informative!

Even though P.E.K.K.A isnt a good card, I do not think thereโ€™s anything more satisfying that managing to make this monster connect to the tower.

  • I've been on and off CR throught its years. Been playing since 2017 with some year long pauses, but ever since I unlocked PEKKA I've never took her out of my deck. Even when I stopped playing bc I was frustrated with the meta, I always came back to play with her. Today I got a new account bc I lost the other one (the new one is 3 months old) and she still part of it, and she's responsable for my greatest trophy run ever since I started in 2017 with almost 7000 tropgies. Long live the PEKKA ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿพ

I love discussing proper gender assignments about biomechanical tank killers in my card game
  • @yojojo3000
Honestly, all I wanna see is for PEKKA to one-shot more cards. ESPECIALLY against Royal Hogs. I agree with you there. Iโ€™d maybe go further though. +7.1% Damage buff would let it two-shot Hog Riders at the very least, as well as one-shot heavily-overleveled Wizards & Musketeers. It wouldnโ€™t really hurt Hog Rider decks all that much since they tend to be in a very fast cycle deck anyway.

I have never played a single match of this game ever. Only heard of it. And I proceeded to sit through every minute of a documentary of a game that I have never played. This was insanely well made, comprehensive, nicely edited. Keep up the good work.
