The remote is basically a device for your own kids to abandon you when they turn into an adult
  • A remote that actively allows two individuals to loop through time and she used it for something as mundane as stricter parenting? Wtf? I'd use that remote to help me find out the winning lottery numbers. That thing's basically a cheat code for life.
  • As someone who has felt all throughout her life that she had to live up to certain standards and who wasn't really given the space to truly experiment when younger, this hit me right in the feels. Hence, if I were to ever have kids, I would allow them to express themselves and love them for who they are and aspire to be.

“Kids, if you ever receive a sales pitch this sketchy, run. Run far away.” The way he said it so calmly 💀

I watched this episode and it was so fucked up .The kid constantly kept killing himself because he was so done with his mom's controlling behaviour but she kept reviving him back .The fact that she still had the remote with her even though he was a grown ass man angered me to the core.

No parent should have this much control over a child. How's the child gonna grow up to think for them selves ?
  • I remember watching this and was so upset. You have to understand this affects so many Asian-raised kids even till today. The authoritarianism and control is that bad, and if they had a remote control, I have no doubt that my parents and so many others would've used this against their kids.

Here's why I love this channel he doesn't just explain the story, he also puts some funny jokes in as well 4:45
  • When you realize he literally could've just waited for his mom to sleep, stolen the remote and broken it, but that would've made this movie only 10 minutes long.

As a teen with manipulative, narcissistic parents, this made me literally cry as I watched. Everything from "I hope you make the right choice" to "I know my child best" was in this. Damn this pulls my heart strings. This is painful.

6:45 ah, the universal truth. Thanks! That's what I needed to hear.
  • "She thinks (that) she knows the best for her kid." Exactly what some parents think now. They can't stop comparing their era to new gen's time, so they keep instilling their kids to do things that are no longer acceptable and applicable in today's setting. I hope parents realize to let their kids have their freedom to choose and just guide them in their choosing.

Abusive and manipulative parents are ten steps ahead the remote

"He registers that he might be stuck in a loop, a logical assumption, since Hollywood won't stop making these stupid movies." 😂😂😂

Plenty of parents already have a “remote”. Parental manipulation is very real.
  • If I were him, I would’ve just lived June 7th forever and done whatever I wanted with the day knowing that it would get repeated anyway. Ultimate power. Time to see how patient mommy is ✌️

I disagree that there isn't a bad guy. The mother was obviously obsessive and crossed so many lines. But before that, it doesn't matter what the mother wants, it's still his life.

Mannnn this hit on a personal level. This is deep stuff ooof. Maybe I'm thinking too much but I feel like that end when he gets hit by the truck really signifies how when a parent controls their children's lives to an extreme, it kills the childs sense of self and self worth. Except that there is no time machine or remote that reverse the pain or give back your child the time that they lost. Good intention means nothing if your actions do not reflect that intention.
