It has to be pretty tough joining a band in which Chris Adler was the former drummer. This guy has chops.
  • Playing modern metal on a Ludwig is a total power move Also I adore this guy. I feel like I relate to his stories

I remember meeting Art when I was younger and still in Winds of Plague and he’s such a joy to be around. I’m so happy that a guy like him is playing with such an amazing band and doing a great job.

I love that Art plays Ludwig. That's what I've played my whole life and love their sound. You never see metal drummers on Ludwig.

Art is a beast. Such an awesome drummer for Lamb Of God.

by clicking on the video seeing art cruz i'd never imagine falling on this intro

Bruh watching y'all jam when we can't hear the track is the funniest shit😂
  • @luvspaiste
I love the kit. Burgundy sparkle is so rare.

Great interview. Love hearing drummers' influences.
  • Watched this on fast forward, but forgot, got the system of down song at 30 mins, and was absolutely floored by the speed, did not realise video was being played at 1.75 Literally crying with Laughter, spent 2 minutes in total disbelief of what I was seeing, then the penny dropped.

This is surprisingly entertaining. Thanks for featuring Art. Nice to get to know the heart behind that sick and merciless warrior behind the Lamb Of God's drum set.

Well I am certainly not a metal drummer but I really enjoyed what Art had to share with us. I can relate to the old days with I Love Lucy and in my later years became friends with the well know "Little Ricky". Thanks to Drumeo for another great video.

Ever since I got to know Art Cruz and followed his work, man I was impressed! A machine for making sound, for making music! Without a shadow of a doubt, it has become one of my biggest references today. I became a big fan of the guy! As a person and professional. The Goddess of Music is grateful and so am I. Long life!

insane mix, my god that snare
  • @andymelendez9757
Thank you so much Drumeo! What a journey for Chris. It is indeed a misconception that rock musicians only play one style.
  • @verminking666
I love the parts that you move and there's no music in the strem jaja. You Rock 🤘🤘❤❤❤
  • Last comment I promise, that kit sounds PHENOMENALLLLLLL!! On literally every genre too no less 🤘🦾🤘 Such an incredible drummer and love seeing all the insta videos of you giving back to the multiple different communities you volunteer and dedicate your time to 🙌👏🙌 Keep it up man, unfortunately we didnt meet at the Suicide Silence show other than maybe like a hey how’s it going, but I look forward to sharing the stage with you once again in due time!! My dad also had like every Santana record growing up too, so that was constantly jamming throughout the house as well. At one time he could even play a lot of it on guitar too, so him and my uncle would jam that shit in the living room multiple multiple times a week. But ofc this was before I got that Ludwig kit, and we never got to actually jam together 😢 Now his hands are all fucked up from a dirt biking accident and his fingers just won’t cooperate anymore sadly. Ok I’m rambling, thank you Drumeo, this was madddd inspiring on so many levels!!! 🥳🙌🎉🙌🥳

With metal being my inspiration to play drums. I find funk and r/b to be the most fundamental in the learning process. Amazing vid Drumeo!
  • Was not expecting a Tower of Power song to start this video. Well done. This is song is a bitch to tackle. Troy Wright (Plini) does an awesome YouTube cover of this song.
  • Art is a monster. I tried playing Jazz and stuff like that but metal just feels right to me. Amazing episode!
