In this enlightening video, we delve deep into the question of Jesus of Nazareth's historical existence, a topic that lies at the intersection of history, religion, and culture. Unlike mythical figures of legend, Jesus is a central figure in Christianity and influential in other religions. We explore the extensive historical, archaeological, and scriptural evidence, dissecting the portrayal of Jesus in the Christian New Testament and examining the unique insights provided by the four Gospels.

We also venture beyond Christian narratives to examine the Islamic view of Jesus ('Isa) in the Quran, which offers a unique perspective written approximately 600 years after Jesus's time. The video explores the significant points of divergence and convergence between Islamic and Christian views, including the miraculous birth and the crucifixion narrative.

Moreover, we turn to non-Christian and non-religious sources for an external perspective on Jesus's historical existence. Esteemed historians like Publius Cornelius Tacitus, Flavius Josephus, and Pliny the Younger provide invaluable insights that contribute significantly to the discussion.

We also discuss the role of archaeological discoveries, such as the Pilate Stone, and scholarly analysis in understanding the historical context of the New Testament and the life of Jesus. The video examines the Criterion of Embarrassment and the rapid spread of Christianity as pointers to the historicity of its central figure.

However, we also present the ongoing academic discussion and skepticism about the historical nature of Jesus, exploring arguments from critics and scholars about the lack of direct contemporary records, the similarities with mythological figures, and the inconsistencies in the New Testament narratives.

If you doesn't believe His existence, there'll be millions of reasons to question His existence. But, If you believe in Him, you have only one reason, i,e, the truth.
  • @hyderhode
The three historical sources referenced do not seem to verify the existence of Jesus so much as to verify the existence and beliefs of Christians a century later.

Jesus was a reader, teacher, and challenged the top renowned scholars of his days, yet he always wrote in the sand and then wiped it away, performed miracles and told the witnesses to not mention the miracle, Jesus had a mission, timeline, a beginning and a proclaimed ending, nothing could get in the way of Gods plan...We look for hard proof of his existence because we have "little faith", it's all about the faith...Jesus said to Thomas, "Because you have seen me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen, and have believed. God is a choice, you get to choose and it cost nothing.

Reading all the comments leaves me to wonder if everyone missed a lot of the biggest points. Faith. Kindness. Forgiveness. Gratitude and love and care for the least among us. Yeshua

The historians who supposedly offered "corroborative evidence" lived centuries after he was supposed to have died. Their accounts relied on other people's accounts, who, in turn, had relied on still other people's accounts.
  • According to translations of Letters to Seneca from Pontius Pilate, if we can rely on them... regardless of who Yeshua was, he did exist...

Using the Bible as "evidence " is the equivalent of saying, "Because I said so."

Josephus, himself, was a Galilean, most of what he recorded in "War of the Jews" happened in Galilee, as it was a hotbed for insurrectionist activity during the 1st Century CE. He never made any note about the Jesus movement in "War of the Jews." The mentions about Christians were in his later work, "Antiquities," and scholars, both Christian and non-Christian seem to agree they were redactions added in by later Christian writers. To get to absolute "smoking gun" evidence of Jesus's historicity , there would need to be at minimum, one non-christian, eye-witness account of Jesus, preferably two. As far as anyone knows, and scholars have poured countless hours into this research, no such record(s) exist. That doesn't mean he didn't exist, but there is still no evidence outside canonical and non-canonical texts, written by Christians. And this brings up another point. If Christians really wanted to strengthen their argument about his historical existence, they would have to admit more non-canonical writings into the record. This would include some of those from the so-called Gnostic gospels. However, that would be problematic because it would mean conceding to stories and teachings that have been considered heretical for 2,000 years. It would mean the undoing of orthodox narratives. This, the orthodox-minded Christians and all of their offshoot brethren will not do.

It's a very difficult question, but even if this 'jesus' did not actually exist and his life and teaching is a composite and recycling of earlier myth and religion,we must accept that in essence there is something significant and profound therein.

For me the real question is “who was he” as the evidence for his historical existence is there. It’s clear he existed but who was he? Was he just a normal Jewish man if that time? Was he a Rabbi? Was he a Prophet? Or was he truly the Son of God? It is for each individual to answer that question one which as a skeptic, I spent 7 years on researching Non Christian writings, Archeology, Christian writing tings and all the other key people surrounding Jesus. Their humanity, behaviour and actions. There is no doubt at all in my mind who he was/is. This video presents a high level synopsis of what’s out there to be read and reviewed, if you have the time, do it.

12 men who followed him and gave up their lives to him and died for him and GOD ALMIGHTY WOULD SAY YESHUA DOSE EXIST THEN AND NOW
  • You know, given that he should have known he was a God, do you think it would have killed him to write a few thing down. He could have used magic to produce texts containing his instructions
  • @thomasxxxxxx2345
Appealing to the Quran on Jesus ? Really ? The Quran dates to some 500+ years AFTER the time of Jesus.

LOVE THE NARRATORS CRYSTAL CLEAR VOICE . THANKS! THE HISTORY HUB. FROM, U.K. (2023).🙂🙂💯👍👍!!!
  • You can't use the bible to "prove" the bible. There is zero evidence outside of the gospels for the existence of even a so-called historic Jesus. Josephus is a later interpolation.
  • @kevinsysyn4487
There is no evidence. Besides that, zero evidence that he could have been divine, or that there is a god at all.... Not only is the title a dumb question... but one thing is certain.. Even if Jesus did exist, he didn't look anything like the person pictured on the Youtube title page. LOL

God revealed to us in human form and his name Jesus, If you accept Jesus you will have eternal life. Please note there is another life after our death and Jesus is the only way to Heaven. Think and repent today
  • @paulanderson5389
I always wondered why Jesus didn’t write down his own words. People had been writing down stories for over a millennium by the time of his life.
  • @cjtorres77
The Bible was written for the account of Jesus spoke of prophecies that have happened and are going to continue to happen he is our blessed.hope How do you explain Born again Christians. Jesus also said they would be false prophets at the end times they will come in my name they will say Jesus did not. existe If Jesus did not exist in the entire Bible did not.exist How would Jesus have known about these prophecies that have happened thousands of years before they would happen if he was not God . How can a regular man know these things in the future if he was not God. Jesús coming back
  • Apologists cannot refute the fact that Jesus, his life, teachings and miracles, were all recorded only in the anonymously written, in educated Greek, four gospels, several decades after the events. No other historical records corroborated any of the events mentioned in the gospels, not even Jesus.
