I recall in another video that someone criticize this saga because in the manga Yugi never lose a duel. This very episode showed the reason why the Pharoah lost to Rafael and it serves an important reminder that even the most determined individual is not without flaws. This is exactly relatable to all of us, not the manga version where he wins every duel except the last duel.

I always loved that as soon as Yugi makes it so that their hand and deck order was different, Atem immediately tired to call an end to the duel. Like, what are you afraid, Pharaoh? Don't like that you can no longer predict Yugi's cards? 😆
