Rewatching all of Oliver's videos about Trump now, in 2023, is just insane. It just never ends, does it?

That line from Anderson Cooper made me respect him so much more.

2017: What would a Trump impeachment look like? 2022: Which one?
  • @RamadaArtist
Man what a wildly innocent time this was. Like, none of this even registers compared to the level of bullshit we've made it to in the six years since.

High treason is a boring scandal.

I too, miss my life before Trump was elected as President.

Re-watching this 5 years later is like that feeling you get revisiting the first season of an anime 5 years later and seeing how weak all the monsters were in comparison.

I love seeing all the comments from over the years and remembering how each different thing at the time was “the biggest thing yet” and it’s still going on and on and on with no end in sight.

"... there's no sex, there's no money... this is a boring scandal." Boy, THAT didn't age well.
  • Anyone back here after Trump asked the Georgia Secretary of State to “find 11,780 votes”, thus technically committing voter fraud?

Watching this in 2023, and laughing about how sweet and innocent we all were back in the day …

Watching this in August 2023, it all seems so quaint.

Two years later and I honestly had trouble remembering this investigation Because there's been so many
  • One of my favourite parts about the Garfield assassination is that the killer actually said “I didn’t kill him, the doctors did” which is actually a common idea among historians because if they had modern medicine he would have survived

Wild to be watching this in March of 2024.

"I don't know about you, but this week has drained me." Oh, sweet summerchild....
  • @samk7470
“Four days ago, which is equivalent to 150 years in 2017 time...” Me, in 2020: oh, just you wait. Just. You. Wait.
  • @iamtheuberscoot
"Impeachment is probably a long shot" 2017 was such an innocent time considering he was impeached not once but twice before leaving office, not to mention the insurrection

A reminder after 6 years: This is not normal. I have been slowly getting used to all the scandals, so I hope we can someday remind ourselves that: This is not normal.
