The Blizzard of 78. I remember it well. I was 20 years old and got snowed in Boston for a full week. No traffic at all was allowed. It was like going back 150 years. Walking everywhere and no traffic. I just found a newspaper i saved. Amazing talk as usual!

I was 6 years old during that incredible blizzard, living in Laconia NH on Adams St (symbol), and I'm now a devoted follower of Jesus' Course. But as a 6 year old, that blizzard was the most fun I've ever had in snow.

How can I not want to correct "the mess that is your lives" and how can that not be an ego desire? I cannot help wanting to be free, but the Course says that death does not bring peace. I am 69 years old and I have failed to find escape from suffering. What hope is there for the rest of my life, or after? I have failed at ACIM for over 40 years, and I likely have less than 40 left. When I refuse to defend or worship my body, I keep getting rescued from death, but not from poverty, hunger, discomfort and painful rejection. Why are people threatened by harmlessness and devotion, when they adore those qualities in their dogs?
