Singer Lee Greenwood talked to NBC News’ Vaughn Hillyard about his iconic song “God Bless The USA” being used at Donald Trump’s rallies throughout his presidency and during his reelection campaign. Greenwood tells the story of how he and Trump met and describes the responsibility of introducing the former president on the first night of the Republican National Convention after a gunman attempted to assassinate him.
