Finally someone with a platform extols the virtues of the grenade launching Outriders. They are crazy good.

When I first got into this game, one of my more experienced friends set up a line of grenade outriders right in front of me and instantly crushed my front line. I've been terrified of them ever since.

The outriders with grenades have to be my favorite unit.

I’ve never played multiplayer, but the treekin were the absolute bedrock of my last woodelf campaign. You’re basically bringing along a mobile castle. Plonk them in a line that you don’t want the enemy to cross and you can forget about them to focus on the damage dealing / micro-heavy units. Really satisfying

in all fairness about the grenade riders, i imagine the explosion rework probably gave them a huge boost. Also, stalkers werent great overall until very recently as well so yeah.

Skavenslave slingers - they do the basic slave job just as well as the others but also melt lightly armoured units and anything they can flank.

Grenade outriders are definitely my favourite empire unit. When i play coop my friend usually plays empire and i love having control of his grenadiers. Manually controlling them gives you SO much impact.

I believe the reason people don't really use Outriders with grenades is because they are unaware of the change to explosive damage that came with Hunter and the Beast, or shortly after, hence why other units like Zombie Deckhands with Bombs are also terrifying.

Avelorn can also recruit Tree kin, it's a pretty good way to spice up your spearman frontline for that faction as well.

I adore the Tree-Kin, I use them a lot in Avelorn's Campaign but have yet to do much with the Wood Elves.

Played my first online battle thanks to you, was building against Dark elves at first with my favorite + most played faction : Greenskins. When I was done with my army build, the other player changed his faction to Greenskins as well!!! Thanks to your guides + tactic video's I was able to snatch a victory with my simple, yet balanced build. Love the work and insights in every video, can't wait to play against you sometime!! (When my confidence is a little higher xD)
