Mega mawile's attack stat is equivalent to base 259, not 210, because the additional stat points from EVs get doubled too

Every single time someone mentions Huge Power, they completely forget how base stats actually work. It doesn't give Mawile an attack stat of 210. It gives Mawile a number equivalent to 258.

I love the fact that Marnie got a Mawile in Pokémon Masters. Since it's typical to always associate trainers with their type specialties, I never realized how perfect of a combination Marnie and Mawile are. They are opposites of each other. Marnie looks cold and intimidating, but she actually wants to work on being more grateful for everyone supporting her. Meanwhile, Mawile uses their cuteness to lure you to their chompers. When Steven got paired with Alolan Sandslash for a summer event years ago, I was worried that Pokémon Masters might get weird when it starts introducing combinations of pokémon and trainers that don't align with what's canon in the main series games. But I'm glad they rarely ever miss with the pairings. I think the only one I'm still trying to get used to is Wallace being paired with Blacephalon. That was so out of left field in my opinion.

Been a Mawile enjoyer since gen 3. Adding the Fairy type only solidified my love for it! Mawile was also what introduced me into the concept of yokais, and diving into the design concepts of Pokémon became an even larger fascination after that. Glad to have found more people online that love the little Pokémon.

I will say that Mawile never appealed to me in the older games but after your video I think i have a new appreciation for it and if it returns in ZA- I am willing to give it another chance definitely. I also think being Fairy/Steel is by far the most broken type combo you could get offensively and defensively but when we had Zacian (and even more recently Tinkaton) came into the picture, no one really considered Mawile as a possible contender or even as a spot on most people's team. On another note, my username wasn't on the listing of the Great Gators cuz I ordered a new card and was late on the sub so my bad on that but I appreciate the shout-out so thanks Gator. Keep up the great work.

mega mawile should've just been mawile's regular evolution. i always find it so weird when pokemon, a series about evolving your little guys to make them stronger, has pokemon that just don't evolve
  • @Jetfox967
I could see Mawile and Tinkaton being friends since they are both cute and powerful.

What that Mouth Do? Forget Vaporeon, Mawile is Best Girl!!!
  • Surprised you didn't mention the absolute awesome Mawile from Super Mystery Dungeon

I love Mawile. It's design being really girly but badass at the same time is what really drew me when i was a kid playing emerald in my gba emulator and ever since i wanted one in every team i made every playthrough together with Azumarill and Aggron I also LOVE the mega version bc it really communicates that idea that it's wearing a shrine maiden outfit, y'know with the dark, pleated pants and the pigtails are just <3
  • @Frenzy_Ice
I’ve always liked mawile, even more than Tinkaton
  • @soyalexpop
Also Mawile mega evolution is one that they could’ve retconned as Mawile’s regular evolution
  • @BirdieSenpai
Mawile is a wholesome little friend who does its best, and I am very proud of my Mawile of twenty years.
