Yeah Orioles fandom was kind of shocked by the Norby/Stowers trade. But when we sit back and analyze it, they got a young LHP with all-star potential under control who has seemingly started to find his "stuff" over the last month or two since struggling after returning from injuries in recent years. They gave away good prospects, but ones that just didnt have a path to their big league roster. Theres guys ahead of them in triple A that are having issues finding playing time with the Orioles. I hope both teams win the trade.

Marlins did awesome!! I'm an O's fan and hated to see Norby go but he had no place in the O's future. Rogers has pitched well as of late allowing 2 runs or less in 8 of his last 9 starts. The control was key with that trade

Agree with you about Lane Thomas. Always liked him back from the days when he was with the Cardinals. And he should be energized coming to a contender, fitting right into the lineup. Insofar as the elephant in the room, you could probably do an entire podcast on the Rays trading deadline. Guess they warrant an incomplete/inconclusive at this point. Have been listening to a lot of baseball analysts the last couple of days and the consensus seems to be that they did well in terms of the quantity they got back in exchange for the quality they lost. We shall see. A lot will depend on the health of their starting pitchers, as well as the prospects who are next in line such as Junior Caminero. Christopher Morel is a player I already like. Although I definitely miss Isaac Paredes.

I like that you said this. Dana stans call fans casuals for having a different opinion! This is a bad trade idc if they are “prospects” traded for a RENTAL.

Joey was fun, and exciting with a bright future, a fan favorite in such a short time here, but why is everyone acting like the Astros traded away Tucker or Bregman...we lost a promising outfielder but tbh his bat wasn't there yet, and the goal is to win the WS in 2024 not in a couple of years. If J.V. had been able to do his job this season we would not be here, this trade probably won't happen.

The Astros trade was, imo, a disappointment. If they had gotten Garrett Crochet, for our three players, that would have been worth it as he is still in his rookie contract and an ace pitcher. He could have taken us, along with JV, Brown, Valdez… to another WS this season.
