I’ll never forget the NBA on NBC promos for the bulls would show a pic of their big three consecutively with audio saying SUPERMAN - BATMAN - & RODMAN 😂
  • @Heretowatchstuff
I remember the off season when the Bulls got Rodman. No one wanted him. Everyone was afraid he would destroy any team he went to. I was a little nervous he would do it to the Bulls. You knew he was gonna bring drama and problems with him. He ended up being an absolute perfect fit for that team. Could very easily have gone south really quickly.

Jordan took all that shit personal lol. He even use the guys from the space jam movie as practice for the league. Savage lol

B Shaw is a pleasure to listen to. Very calm and clear, no megalomania or overstatements

It's probably the best guest i've seen on a basketball podcast ever. Great stories, dude played with Bird, Shaq, Kobe and played vs Jordan and Dream in the Finals. Unreal

PG - EXCELLENT job letting your guests speak without interrupting.

The GOAT thing about MJ was the next year he scored 45 purposely on that close out game 😂 💯🔥💪 that Magic team was 🔥 tho and Horace made a difference too.
  • After a season ending loss players take some time off before getting ready for the next season .. mj told his trainer, "ill see you tomorrow" .. thats 🐐

MJ changing back from no. 45 to no. 23, is like when Clark Kent became human because he wanted to marry Lois Lane, but then went back to get his powers and turned back into Superman! 💪
  • @leechrec
MJ didn't make excuses for fuckin up. He just worked, took what he had, and persevered towards the goal.

Mj had a torn ligament in his wrist as well. Still gave them 30 plus a game lol Biggest thing they were missing the rebounding of Horace as well as his defence. Once Rodman was in the Bulls swept the Magic.

What MJ did was crazy: he took more than a year off to play another completely different sport, came back and lost the Conference Finals, then came back strong, finished with a 72-10 team record, and completed another three-peat. Imagine what was going on in his head. The motivation is crazy.

Thank you B Shaw for mentioning the fact that they beat the Rockets in the reg season that year. Folks don't know or remember how much Drexler going to the Rockets changed that team. That Magic team was great that year, they were headed for the title.

I remember clear as day when RODMAN went to the BULLS. There was a headline on this magazine that read….”Hair and Air, can it work?” And it surely did 😁Those were the days
  • @jalexb915
Shaw makes an excellent point: We'd just pass the ball into Shaq (in today's game) and he'd foul everyone out. (I think he'd have some games with points in the 70s and/or rebounds in the 30s in today's game)

Brian Shaw, what an excellent guest. You sort of forget just how many important teams he was on, and also how long he’s been coaching.
  • @RyccoLamar
He changed to 23 in game 2 and torched their asses to go back to Chicago tied 1-1
  • @yrnxkj7607
Rodman was the perfect fix for the Bulls.

Excellent commentary by b-Shaw when talking about the Jordan vs the magic team. I remember those series as if it were yesterday. When Jordan faced them the 2nd time around, he destroyed the magic along with Rodman who totally outplayed Horace grant who all of a sudden got hurt in that series. To penny’s credit, he had a Gr8 series but Jordan was just Spectacular! They swept the Magic, and sent shaq to the west Coast. If shaq had returned the following yr, it’s safe to say the Bulls would have just beaten them again.
  • @plusmagnificent
He said no one would have a an answer for Shaq but Jordan and the 96 bulls swept the magic and prime shaq that same year. 96 bulls vs 00' Lakers = Bulls in 5 .
