It's crazy how people try to deal with trauma from their past AND when they try cope the way they cope ends up inflicting more trauma.

I lived in Jackson, ms from 2005-2007 and everything there was great. I went back in 2018 when my grandmother died I couldn't believe my eyes. Everything was either closed or abandoned. It hurt my heart and I'm from new Orleans where things are not just great either but damn... Jackson has completely fell off in dat short amount of time dat I lived there and now in this present day. Everybody I knew there has moved elsewhere. Yeah I'm only 32 but I just didnt expect things to be so bad. It's crazy and I pray for the ppl. I use to love Jack-town!

@ 12:24 Excellent quote. Sometimes we have to go through bad things to get where we need to be. We will then appreciate getting to that "happy" place or "safe" even more.
