With an upcoming assignment for a theater production, I need to replicate layered guitar harmonies with just one player (me!). I hadn't explored the Axe Fx II Guitar Harmonizer patches much prior to this, but it's a great and powerful intelligent pitch-shifting feature (I'm using Patch 189 'Root + 3rd + 5th', with some slight modifications in terms of amp settings) for both dual and triple guitar harmonies. There are a lot of intelligent pitch-shifting features built into pedals and boxes now, but since I own the Axe Fx II, using the guitar harmonizer it offers seemed like the obvious way to go.

I think the addition of an expression pedal is going to help me with some of the tougher transitions in this gig (doing all the guitar parts for 'Mamma Mia' in a stage production), because there are some quick changes in scales and keys that I need to hop back and forth to, and so I'll need to get Axe Edit reinstalled on my laptop and start really digging into the guitar harmonizer to manage those parts.
