Ben Simmons would be like Giannis except he is scared of failure, whereas Giannis is not. Giannis keeps trying to shoot free throws and threes even though his percentage is below average. Sometimes I feel Ben Simmons is criticized too much but then I remember he got a max contract. I watched your Giannis Antetokounmpo video which was very good and so is this one. Also the one on Jokic. I like your style. ☺️

It’s so amazing to see actual polar opposites of players in the NBA. What I mean is Ben Simmons came into the league with all the hype, all the talent, son of professional basketball player and a great life. Winning rookie of the year his second year and viewed as the next big thing. On the flip side you have a Giannis who came in unknown, passed over, humbling tough upbringing and no talent. Yet he worked and worked his tail off and look where he is now. Ben folds under criticism while Giannis perseveres through it. Great video man, definitely had to sub.
  • “Hard work beats Talent when Talent fails to work hard” is exactly Ben Simmoms and Giannis

when he requested a traded to somewhere with a nightlife, we all knew why he wasn't out working on his jumpshot during the off season
  • He doesnt need a jump shot. He just need to shoot 80% from the FT line.
  • Damn, this was a really good video explaining the Simmons issue. Hope he can at least start hitting from the stripe. At the very least

This is an absolute documentary! I quite seriously don’t understand how a small channel can produce videos like this. Absolutely amazing video man, keep up the amazing work.

Him getting a Max contract while he doesn't care about his flaws, and Jeremy Lin accepting to play on the G league because he has the desire to come back to the NBA is one of the most unfair things I've seen in sports. His indifference is offensive to all fans of the sport, he doesn't deserve to play.

Ben doesn’t even need to form a three point shot. All he had to do was practice free throws so his fouls wouldn’t be a complete waste and strategy for opponents. Any kid can practice free throws and get pretty damn consistent with them as long as you try and put effort into it. Even I went from throwing the ball behind my head as a kid until I decided to form a proper shooting form and went to my local park every day and practiced proper free throws until I became a pretty damn good shooter now and I’m not getting paid millions of dollar to do so but did it just so I played the game of basketball the proper way which baffles me that a number one pick point guard in Ben Simmons refuses to put in the time to do the same. Shooting is all mentality and Ben Simmons exposed himself so badly this playoff that until he gets a shot I doubt he’ll ever be viewed as an all star player cuz opponents are going to use that against him so much and we saw that with the hack a Ben Simmons this year

Is it the bookmarks, is it the quality of the production, is it the small number of subscribers? I don’t know but watching your videos makes me feel like the hipster who found the next big hit Waaaaaaaay before it blew up
  • I'm Australian I should love Ben he's repping my country, but all ive seen from him is cockyness or laziness, feels like he's more concerned about his next celeb partner over actually improving and earning those all star appearances.

Have a lot of die hard Philly fans friends and that was one thing they called out early: his position adjustment left him with very odd matchups which were uniquely conducive to rebounds. Notice his triple doubles were rarely eye watering in their dominance with a lot of spot jump shot kick out assists thanks to his bringing the ball up and embiid option. When he’s forced to create from a positional that’s technically not natural to him, it’s no wonder. He built his entire game and confidence on one style. When shit hit the fan, he couldn’t fall back on perimeter play but had to double down as a point guard. Can you imagine how foreign that’s gotta feel

Ben Simmons’ problem is that he has never had to struggle for his success. He’s always been miles above his teammates and opponents and that’s his downfall. Its just like the “gifted” kid in school who was knocking out 10 books a week and didn’t have to study only for college to absolutely destroy them. Any new activity that isn’t immediately mastered gets cast aside because they’re afraid of failure and not being the dominant person they’re used to. Simply put Ben has been spoiled by his own God given talents.
  • As an Aussie speaking here. Ben missed a huge chance to play for the Boomers this Olympics and get involved with the positive culture of the team led by Patty Mills, Joe Ingles and many. Positive energy is all Ben needs right now, he has achieved so much and just needs a refresh. The talent is there and the best is yet to come in him. Matisse is a proper legend. My big hope is for these fellas to join together, fire up and start producing some of the best in the NBA. Rock it lads and let it rip. Full respect, go smash it!

Great vid! In my opinion the problem is definitely not with his jumpshot itself, but with psychology. Would be useful to add number of Ben's midrange and 3point attempts (and percentage) for each season, during your storytelling.

Can’t believe Sixers fans considered Jimmy Butler as a third option behind Simmons when the Min-Phi trade happened

I been telling all my friends…the absolute worst thing to happen to Ben was becoming an all-star without expanding his game. No sense of urgency until now, he can’t “I’m an all-star” his way out of this. Time to face the music.
